So while in the city tonight / after taking the painkillers for the first time, I figured out that while it's slower, it's less painful and easier to use the crutches like a cane. So i had my friend who was driving stop by home, and picked up a cane we had lying around... so now I'm pimpin' the old grandpa wooden cane :D

If the crutches are in your armpits you're using them wrong. They should NOT be up against the armpit, but rather an inch or so below. It will still hurt for a couple days, but a way to avoid it is to put washcloths around the pads as some extra cushion. They should not be awkward either. I'm willing to bet that you told them you were 5'3" like you normally do, and so they put the crutches for that height, but they are too big. If they go lower, try putting 'em lower and see if it makes it better.

I'm an expert on crutches, I've been on 'em enough times. I"m sure James could back me up in what I've said as well ;)

If it's still huring you, you can call up student services and they should send you a car to drive you as close as they can to your class. Their supposed to do it but they usually tell you to walk because the student services at Willy-P are lazy piecs of amphibian **** IMO...
