Hate to bring back an old thread but I had too.

I'm driving down broad street today when I see a police officer in his squad car pulling out of a church onto broad street. So the nice guy that I am I slow down and wave him on to go infront of me. As I do that he puts his hand up thank me then all of a sudden changes his mind and stops and waves me on to go infront of him. So I'm think son of bitch he is going to pull me over.

Well I was right he pulls me over. First thing he says is "Remember me?" I gave him a puzzled look then all of a sudden he says "White Maxima on Rt.46". All of sudden it hits me this is the same guy that flashed his badge at me that day. He gets a little smirk on his face so I'm think ok I'm screwed I better start sweet talking. I began saying how I was sorry about that and how he scared the **** out of me and how I have been taking it easy ever since. He let me finish then asks how many points I have on my license. I told him none. He then just nodded his head and told me to get out of here and let me go. He seemed to find the whole situation funny and actually seemed like a pretty nice guy.

So yea thank god I wasn't a dick to him that day otherwise I would have been screwed for sure. He probably would have wrote me so many tickets for stupid stuff.

So to all who say ***** cops cause they can't do **** if they ain't on duty think again. Think of what could have happened to me today if I was a dick to him that day.

If a police officer witnesses a crime or sees anything illegal happen he is legally responsible to report it or act according to what his normal duties would be.

Atleast he was nice. See most of the time the police officer is just doing his job. Yes. I do call cops ********. Hell.. i have 6 points on my D.L. But still, now i look back on it and see that all theyw ere doing was there job, except for the fix it ticket for my broken shifter boot.

i don't think cops should have the same powers off duty. they should have some powers. i could see them stopping a robbery or something, but a minor speeding offense is ridiculous. for real, harrassing people for merging a bit fast is sad. get a life.
