id take both of those over an fbody. their resale value is tons better too. TT supras still sell in mid 20's...

I guess thats good, but they also sold at the same price as a Vette when new, and Vette's go for 20k as well...so whatever. I dont buy cars for the resale value.

do a qucik search. you'll find some supras going for 40k no way i would pay 40k for an LT1 vette not even an LS1 for that matter. im not saying i would pay that for a supra but there're clearly people who would. and skylines are more expensive. but this is sorta pointless argument anyways.

The mustang in the movie has the RB26DETT. Supras (MKIV) Have the 2JZGTE. Supras (MKIII) have either a 1JZ or a 7M.Personally Id take the 7M over the 1JZ. 2JZGTE over the 7M and the RB26DETT over the 2JZGTE. Also I like the B18 that honda puts out. Good little engine.

i dont want to spoil it but..

The plot was boring. The drifting was cool, and they ony destroyed jap cars, cept for a viper, another car IDK what it was, and the mustang got a little beat up. and vin deisel was driving a mopar

NO! the redneck mobile...the one in the biginning that races the viper.

I thought it was a charger but then some one said it was a roadrunner but i dont member

BigAls87Z28 06-18-2006 04:57 PM

I belive the primer grey cars are Chevy Monte Carlos.

Ian 06-18-2006 05:52 PM

:stupid:

the only american iron in the movie was the stang and a monte I believe. then again, I haven't seen it so I wouldn't really know.

12secondv6 06-18-2006 06:21 PM

The mopar is a DODGE NEON!!!!

qwikz28 06-18-2006 06:37 PM

i was just watching drifting on TV. the goat is pwning the hell out of all the imports

slasherbarb 06-18-2006 07:47 PM

vin diesal was in a 69-70 charger...not the one from the original, since that was a 68 with round taillights...this was a 69-70 since the taillights were flat...and i dont think the engine they dropped into the 69 mustang was a RB26DETT, since that is twin turbo....the motor was onle single turbo so it would have been an SR20 engine (3.0L inline 6 from R34 shylines)...but i thought it was a decent movie, opening sequence kicked ass, and it wasn't overly fake like the first two...

Ian 06-18-2006 08:00 PM

I thought the SR20DETT was a 2.0 liter motor that came out of S-14's and S-15's?

bad64chevelle 06-18-2006 08:00 PM

WHY?!?!?!? :banghead:

slasherbarb 06-18-2006 08:06 PM

from what ive heard, the r34 had sr20s... could be mistaken though...

bad64chevelle 06-18-2006 08:11 PM

no not you that was towards Rice motors in muscle cars.

enRo 06-18-2006 08:12 PM

I declare Barb a ricer.

bad64chevelle 06-18-2006 08:32 PM

:werd: i second that.

Brando56894 06-18-2006 09:09 PM

:stupid:

i like very few imports but there was an ad in the motor trend i was reading at work and the 07 eclipse spyder does look really nice for an eclipse

BigAls87Z28 06-18-2006 10:54 PM

Only import car I would buy would be a R34 Skyline GTS. Very muscular, very "pony car" with the long nose/short deck look.

Anyway, I want to go see that movie.

qwikz28 06-18-2006 10:59 PM

personally i like BMWs. especially with the new VANOS technology. i was whipping my buddies 330 around last thurs i think it was. it was real fun
