They closed the Justice Complex on Market Street a few hours ago. I'll have to take the long way to 295 this afternoon. No getting on 29 for me....

They just told us 29 south of 95 is closed, the Washington’s Crossing Bridge is closed, and Pleasant Valley Way in Hopewell is closed (although I do not know where in Hopewell that is).

It's all because of Global Warming!!!!

Luckily I'm not that close to the river...I'm about 15 minutes or so from the pic Bill posted up.

Just went down to washington's crossing park, the firemen are letting people cross 29 and go and see. the water is up to the bridge and half the parkinglots are under water. it's still rising. pics to come later.

OK, this first picture is for reference. This was taken back in early April when I first put my boat in the river. The river was almost this low back on Friday and Saturday.

The rest were taken today. You can see my boat is getting tossed back and forth by the current and I had to cut off all the low branches from the tree so the boat won't get hung up on anything.

A couple of pictures from the bridge at Washington's Crossing. My boat is about a half mile upstream from this. The water is still expected to come up another 5-6 feet above where it is in this picture.

These 2 shots are from the NJ canal path looking over to PA. They say the river will still come up another 5-6 feet.

They've revised the flood estimate for Trenton now back down to 25.5 feet instead of 27.9 so that makes it about the same as last April.

wow, better keep a good close wath on your dingy!

When i was out in CA over new years, they had 1 solid month of rain every day. Something called a hawaiian clipper or whatever.

The damn dam near my buddies house had to open the main spill way. Trees were sticking up out of the rivers, and on the way to the airport, i seen a pond with headstones sticking out of it. strange stuff

how does a month or rain every day work

Tru2Chevy 06-30-2006 10:39 AM

It rained every day for a whole month. Not a difficult concept to grasp....

Savage_Messiah 06-30-2006 02:06 PM

i was tired last night, i thought he meant it was a month's worth of rain per day every day

I forgot if it was Tim or Justin that has family up by Norwich NY, but did anybody see the Interstate 88 pictures they had on the news? Thats like 5 miles from my grandfathers house (about 3 hours away from Morris county NJ)... it basically looks like Moses split the highway right across about 30 feet wide, both North and south sides

Tim does.

My family in Whitney Point, NY (15 mins. North of Binghamton) is taking a pretty big hit with all of the rain. My uncle is currently estimating his crop loss at $20k....
