I'm such a woman.

the kit is fine minus the to atmosphere bov that i use,should have a cbv valve instead.but i had planned on having the speed density swap done by now which the to atmosphere valve would have been fine.as far as the boost controlle rnot working thats what i get for using a homeade one from a friend.what really got me was the fact on the 2nd pass withthe boost controlle relinates i couldnt get more then 4psi out of the turbo.even running on wastegate without the controller i should have had 9 psi.i didnt get any real boost till i bypassed the wastegate all togther :shrug: so there is deff a problem there somewere.though ill be dismantling the turbo setup/engine this week so ill find out what went wrong there.im not even gonna deal with the electronics issues.im taking that whole maf setup and throwing it right in the trash,this time im going right to the speed density system like i should have in the first place.

excuses are the tools of the incompetent, used to build monuments of nothingness. and those of us who specialize in their usage, seldom amount to anything else.

someone had chinese food on the way home. that from a fortune cookie?

NJSPEEDER 08-20-2006 08:24 PM

dave, the way the car launched and moved down the lane, it looked more like no boost than low boost.
i hope you understand what it sounds like to people when you go through the ignition, ecm, bov, and wastegate as reasons for the problem all with in an hour or two of running 6 or 7 seconds slower than predicted.

Tsar 08-20-2006 08:25 PM

mike = correct.

Jake - no we didnt, but we can make up for it at the bbq :lol:

yeah i know.i couldnt build boost at all off the line for some reason i wa slucky to see 1 psi on the line even on th eburnouts i wa sonly pulling 3-4 psi , the car had boost but not like it should of. .i simply stated something was seriously wrong with either my wastegate,and my ecm or ignition moudle.on the one and only pass i had decent boost the car just shut off,which i still cant figure out why.im sure ill find out this week as i dismantle and inspect everything.im gonna need to take a good look at the wastegate and the turbo charger.the only other thing i could think of would have been a nice leak at one of the couplers but u guys would have heard that as i went down the track. did anyone notice the car smoking or anything on any of the passes?

35thls1ss19 08-20-2006 08:33 PM

where did you dyno your car to get those #'s? even if it did good in teh 1/8th it didnt look like no 400= rwhp car :confused:

Maybe his windshield washer reservoir?!!!

project89 08-20-2006 08:39 PM

place over here in spootswood,mrc no boost = no power.done on the other motor with the good heads.the motor i had in the car today was just a bone stock 3.1.so it would have been lower at the same boost level.the only time that car felt good was the one pass with the wastegate bypassed.but that didnt work out to well lmao.i didnt care though by that point i was so pissed i couldnt get the car down the track.im deff gonna find out what went wrong and not make the same mistake on the new motor.
