Looks like it is fuggin hockey season. I turned it off after 8-Hole swung at the 1st pitch he saw and grounded out in the 3rd. This will be his last game in NY. Sheff too. Good riddance.

I'd rather watch this Deep Purple bootleg video I got. :)

baddest434 10-07-2006 05:33 PM

well the 06 season is 9 outs away from being over. wtf how could that lineup not score 1 friggin run in the last 20 innings? i knew their pitching was a problem but i was hoping the sticks could keep them in the games but hell no their bats have more holes in them then a-rods glove.

yankees FTMFL

holy **** they scored a run

Savage_Messiah 10-07-2006 06:27 PM

:( guess thats done

I feel like chit...:(

I dont wanna see ****-Unit, Wright, and Lidle on the mound next year. And I sure as hell dont wanna see Choke-on-A-Rod there either. His HR + RBIs are great, but he slumps too much, and he gives in to way too much errors at 3rd base. Id be happy to see Sheff back cuz he can produce, maybe as a DH tho, cuz he obviously sucks at 1st.

BigAls87Z28 10-07-2006 10:06 PM

Sheff at first was a bad move. Put an outfielder who just came off DL, and put him in a spot where he hasnt played....he did ok.
Pitching will continue to be the weak point of the Yankees. All the WS years, they had a stellar pitching staff with decent bats.
Now they have steller bats and sorry pitching.
We need 2 more solid starters, 2 or 3 closers because Rivera wont be around forever. Farnsworth needs to use the off season to hone his speed, along with Proctor. Both are solid pitchers with lots of heat, but lack what is needed to really put a hurt in the late innings to close people down. Pitching staff is a must this off season, and I think that I know a certain person we can let go to loosen up some money. Im sure Milkey could play 3rd base, and do well at it.

baddest434 10-07-2006 10:27 PM

my prediction is that strenbernner will go out and get dantle willis from the marlins. that post season pitching roster was a joke. after mussina lost game 2 i knew we were done.johnson, wright have to go and be replaced with willis and someone else of some quality

unstable bob gable 10-07-2006 11:10 PM

When you get SHUT DOWN by Kenny Rogers, ya might as well just throw in the towel and make yer golf plans for the off season.

The Unit should just retire. He's pretty much a shoe in for the HOF, so why not call it a day?

I'm on the fence about Mussina. He is 37 or 38 years old...but maybe he can buy another decent year or two.

We def need some better starting pitching. Maybe Carl Pavino will finally show up and win 30 games...

Call me an azzhat, but I like A-Rod. I remember Tino choking pretty badly in playoff situations, and he is considered to be one of the most popular Yankees of all time. A-Rod had a bad year in the field following a good year in the field. That makes it a tie. Let's see next year as a tie breaker.

And I am sure Mr Steinblaster is loading up his weapons as we speak, and SOME HEADS ARE GONNA ROLL!!!

And all this hype over Octavio Dotel ... wtf he sucked the big one, which is why I didnt see him on the postseason roster? I think Bruney would do a better job as a setup man, Im pretty sure Ive seen him just shy of 100mph with his fastball. Plus, he strikes out alot more. Im still scratching my head as to why they got rid of Flash Gordon in the first place

Gorden the choker didn't want to be a setup guy.

who the **** is carl pavano-j/k another waste of $$
jared wright should be hung (2 inning wright)
randy johnson should just quit NOW (ugly old geezer)
mussina to long relief(times up)
proctor is a hit or miss pitcher(good at times)
dotel send him back to his home land(who?)
farnsworth back to the dead sox(another good or bad pitcher)
clean house and start all over cause those old bastards they have pitching won't take the team anywhere.
wang is the only dependable pitcher they had all year!!
oh yea **** sheffield too he should not have even beeen playing melky earned the right to play. but they say you should'nt lose your job due to an injury. f-that melky was playing great
****ing yankees ruined my weekend well not really but they sure as hell PISSED me off!!

V 10-08-2006 11:57 AM

go villone! haha, sorry, my family knows his mother. and i know that he doesnt really matter in any way in regards to this anymore

BonzoHansen 10-08-2006 12:16 PM

Dotel gets a pass. He is coming off Tommy John surgery. He is right on track with every pitcher who had this done. His arm strength will back to 100% next season. It is not now.

Asking anything of him this year was unfair.

Carl Who? Bum.

Thank god I saw Iron Maiden last night- that made me happy again. And I sold my Hot Rod hat (the one they gave me for subscribing at $9 for 2 years) to a stripper for $20. I never made $$ at a strip joint before. :)

iamsickofitall 10-08-2006 01:15 PM

i agree with the notion of going with the guys that got you there. melky should have been starting every game.

at least i'm not a Mets hater and have no problem routing for them with the yanks cooked.

i think sweet lou would at least make the yankee losses more fun to watch next year after torre gets the boot

baddest434 10-08-2006 01:34 PM

sorry but my yankee blood won't let me ever cheer for the mets. NEVER

john wetteland then mariano riveria were the best setup and closers they ever had imo

carl who  exactly
and yea dotel really should not be judged by his performances this year.

having tanyon sturtze may have helped too. (remember him)

you may be on to something there maroman88
