The car was worthless, there was no future. GM started to invest a lot more in Hydrogen fuel Cells, which BTW they just lauched 100 Hydrogen Powerd Equinox's to the public in Cali for daily driving.
GM continues to be on the cutting edge of Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology, and will introduce a Two-Mode Hyrbid system, leap-frogging the Toyota and Honda system's. This will be used on vehicles that it will actualy mean something, like on SUV's, not econoboxes that already get better then average gas milage. To make a 140hp 4cyl Corolla go from 34mph to 45mpg aint no big shake. To make a 350hp V8 Tahoe go from 22 to 34mpg, NOW thats movement. Ethanol is possible, and works in Brazil very well. Reducing dependancy on foreign oil is what is needed, therefor we no longer have to rely on OPEC to keep us going. 3rd world nations can do it, why cant America? Japan is also working hard and fast for an Ethanol system for its country. |
First of all, the battery cells in hybrid cars dont last long and they run upwards of $10000 to replace. Forget it, what you save in gas goes right back into the car.
and Secondly, Jon saying "I can't listen to this anymore" is not an opinion, that's a statement. So note that instead. |
dont forget
you need 5 miracles for a hydrogen fuel cell 1. Current fuel cell car costs $1,000,000 2. Not enough room for hydrogen fuel 3. Hydrogen fuel is expensive 4. Need fueling infrastructure 5. Competing technologies must not improve * IE Hybrid already pushing the 100mpg mark Ethanol is extremely expensive to produce yes the batteries for Hybrids are expensive to replace / service....... but prices will significantly go down *guaranteed and the "I can't listen to this ******* anymore" is an opinion |
I would serously consider some of the things that you say to people on this site. If you show respect, you get it in return.

just because some people gave you a rough time does NOT mean you should attack them right back. Ever try being the bigger man? it works amazingly well.

electric cars = cool-ish idea, never got enough support to get off the ground, oh well end of story.
Holocaust, racism, and Iraq are flesh and blood, innocent people dying or worse (if you think nothing is worse than death... it'd be much worse to be tortured, starved, left to die a slow painful death etc). I'm sorry but none of those are light matters, you're lucky mike was ncie enough to leave it at that, if I had been the first reply well it wouldnt have been pretty. You started that by relating them at all. annd uh, badges that say something stuck on a car which isn't what tey say it is, yea thats pretty crappy and a clone. |

You're just as much a part of the problem as everyone else is. I am not saying you are the only one, but you do certainly know how to be an antagonist. Don't give me the "b-b-b-but they started it" speech. This is not child's play, I don't care who started what. But everyone, yourself included, who continues this bashing is risking their membership to this site. There will be PM's sent out to anyone involved. This cannot continue, for you, or for anyone esle in the middle of it. Understood? |
