I'd like to see the 69 Z28 restoration get finished but I'm not doing the work on that car. I need to address the clutch, brakes, tires and check the rear on the 70 SS396. I'm trying to find some more of the original parts for the 70 but I'm not gonna pay crazy Ebay and Barrett Jackson prices.

you're all wrong. If I bought a non running F-body, then that would make me an admin. and depending on which car I buy next, it's either getting a lot of work done to it, or it's gonna get cleaned up and sold

my plans:

Plugs and wires
put the exhaust on (again)
put the GFX on regardless of how many of you hate them :P
suspension parts??

BonzoHansen 10-08-2006 05:39 PM

Fall: Get new compressor in the garage.
Winter: Strip undercoating off bottom of 77, get the damn car back together.

Bandit 10-08-2006 05:56 PM

Put in a line lock, 1.85 rockers and torque converter and shoot for a 11 second run with stock exhaust manifolds and no cam.

iamsickofitall 10-08-2006 05:56 PM

i'm going turbo...hopefully before spring.

first i need to swap my heads, came and intake out and sell my old stuff. i have all the stuff, just need gaskets, fluids and a weekend to do the work.

bitchincamaro 10-08-2006 06:42 PM

on my camaro:
kick some ass on the bodywork.
a proggressor (sp?)
bigger shot
redo my exhuast and get ultra flos and a x-pipe
buy some mid mount alt brackets so i can put my electric water pump on
maybe some racing buckets

on the chevelle:
finish floor pans
start on motor. (i have the top end for the motor, just need to figure what i am going to do with the bottom end. block is done)
kick some ass on the body work with that one also.

HardcoreZ28 10-08-2006 07:07 PM

New ZZ383 or re-ring my my current 383 so I'm not burning oil next season.

Complete the interior on my 65 T-Bird

Paint 71 Superbird and 72 Vette

JL8Jeff 10-08-2006 07:36 PM

Hmmmm, I might have just created a new project today. The 396 didn't seem to like the lack of traction today when it suddenly revved up to 6000 rpm's! I now have a slight miss which might be a lost valve. The car currently has a set of oval port heads on it which are not correct, but I have the correct rectangular port heads to go on the car. They are bare so I'll need to get them put together. I need to check some stuff tomorrow to see what's going on. Dam lack of traction!:-?

Oh man... that job sucks. Brakeleen and a heat gun worked best for me, but it was still a messy job.

Jersey_TA 10-09-2006 02:06 AM

devise a way to not break anything next year

Umm just keeping it together long enough to race

slasherbarb 10-09-2006 07:19 AM

-Heads/Cam
-Port Intake
-Suspension stuff(shocks, spirngs, subframes, etc)
-Send headers out to Jet hot
-3.73s(after almost two years)
-Repaint the car and add the 30th anniversary stripes
-Laughing gas??

And I'm sure I'll think of more...

jbird99 10-09-2006 07:33 AM

-Replace Front bumper(since my car got hit a week ago because people can not drive)

-Replace Pass Side Fender

-Swap my TB

OK, the car is back in the garage (with its new epoxy floor coating), so that is progress.
