bs.

100 bucks wax? thats a package, ive seen your car in person, its nothing special..

i know how to properly detail a car, just not take pics. I want the wax because I want the best.

you saw my car at the nats, it was dirty you retard.

you know how to properly detail the car? ok tell me?

i've detailed more cars in year in a half then you'll prolly will in your life. people actually paid us 200 bucks to make them "look like new" again  but that was before i switched to the dealership and started halfassing my work

Mike 10-09-2006 07:43 PM

1. zaino is NOT wax, if your gonna buy somthing at least know what it is.
2. your car does NOT need zaino
3. you WILL NOT get best results out of zaino because as multiple people said you need to let it sit on the car almost overnight and since your car is outside its not feasable.
4. you dont know how to detail cars yet so dont argue with tsar

WayFast84 10-09-2006 07:51 PM

I know about most of it..

its a polish
my car is about to go inside, as soon as I can get enough people to push her.
i do know how to detail, just not the best.

I would post my process but its too long.

abridged

vacume enterior, baby oil on dash.
wash wheels tires, rince them down, spray car, top to bottom soap up once wash, soap up again wash, dry everything(door jambs) then wax or quick detail, windows and finally tire shine missing one or two things

Probably not worth it on your paint job. No offense. Use Mother's 3 step or something like that.

i disagree with you young man! zaino is worth every dollar it cost.everything you need cost about 100 bucks. it is an lot of work but when done properly it blows any wax job away. you just have to be willing to spend 6-7 hrs on your car or you can use that cheap wax and be done in an hour.1 coat will protect your car if not garaged for 6 months my neighbor has a dark blue metallic that has 4 coats on it so far and the car is unbelievable the metallic stands out so much and the car looks wet cause its so protected.

but this is just my opinion i believe in zaino cause i've seen how it works

Mike 10-09-2006 07:55 PM

instead of spending 100 on zaino, spend 30 on a mothers setup and 70 on hooked on phonics

um...if thats "full detail" then im gonna just

it takes me about 4 or 5 hours to do my car the right way. but thats rare. usually i stick to simple stuff however its not FULL detail.

Go buy NASCAR Spray on Carnuba wax for $8-15. 15 minutes of intense spraying and wiping, and my car shines good, if not, better than most cars that go thru a 3 hour wax job.

I don't know why you guys get so worked up over which car wax or polish somebody wants to use. If someone wants to use Zaino, then great. If you like Turtle Wax, great. But you will not get as good results with most off the shelf waxes as you will with something like Zaino or some of the other high end polishes. Keep using your off the shelf wax and then one day when you start removing the paint you'll realize you already removed the clear coat. Most of you guys are too young to have even tried most of the products out there so you really don't have anything to base your opinion on. Relax, and let people use whatever polish or wax they want to.

good points, RA will remove almost anything on paint. A body shop guy told me though with wax products you will get "fisheyes" on the paint. With the Zaino it was clear clean paint.

I can make my car look great with almost any good polish, the true work is preping the car. ie: claying, prep the surface and done right. Only problem is any other product I need to repeat most of the steps in 2 weeks, with Zaino 3-4 coats will last a year and still bead. (not a wax)

Now if you want a true wax, Xzymol has a wax that cost $$$$$$$ and you put it on by hand.

and people like you keep saying that just because im 20 i dont know what im talking about  Name a car (besides and exotic) and i've washed it inside and out, clay barred it, buffed it, polished it, and waxed it. You can even go ahead and add a few RV's to that and a few bikes. Yes i dunno what i'm talking about eventho i've spent like 2 years doing it, and quite honestly probably have detailed MORE cars (old and new) then you. But like i said you're always welcome to prove me wrong with YOUR work.

ohh and little edit*** its also about what u use while you apply the wax, wash and dry your car, **** i still see people using towels  and then they go "OMG swirl marks/scratch" or how about washing your wheels with a rag and then washing the rest of your car with it? idiots...

Finally we got to the "show of your skill or shut your mouth" part

10 year old car: washed with DAWN (used mainly for dishes in your daily lives) 1.59 car soap from wall mart (has a supra on the front) and has one coat of wax.
can you see the reflection?
