You must not have full coverage if your insurance is $92 a month. And $4600 for a car is expensive when you're in college. Between room/board, food, books and tuition, there was no way to have a car. I was lucky enough to have use of the family station wagon for 1 year while in school. Anybody that has a car while in college before their junior year is rich enough.

What is DSM? I'm not familiar with that term.

Again, for the record, I mentioned 'when i got a job' - implying after college. :)

Tsar 02-14-2007 01:15 PM

Tough nuggies that you didnt have a car and had to drive a station wagon. Did you try getting a job? That's how i payed for my cars, my insurance, my phone, my bills. Ohh and i did live by myself in FL. And OMG i went to school too! Oh and no its not full coverage, but ill accept responsibility if i crash my car and have to pay for repairs or just buy a new one. However if some old fart hits me then i dont really need full covered cuz he'll pay for repairs whether he wants to or not.

Scott: DSM = Diamond Star Motors, basically mitsubishi eclipse, Eagle Talon, and the Laser. You know 4 cyclinders that are slow and stuff.

I had several jobs, but all that money went into tuition. I got the largest student loan they would give me and still had to borrow more. At my school, less than 25% of the freshman and sophmore students had vehicles so a car was an obvious luxury while in school. Either that or we were all a lot poorer back then.

OMG, what a friggin' drive in, and drive home from work! Friggin' azzclowns can't drive worth a fook, and they gotta be in that left lane blocking passing. Good thing I don't own a gun...

You guys are lucky. No matter what the roads look like if you are within 20 minutes of base you are coming into work if you are accossiated with aircraft maintenance. If your car can't make it they will send someone to pick you up. So yeah, I'm at work tonight(9 pm-9 am) and there is nothing going on. Go figure.
