Sorry, gonna raise the BS flag on that one. Those may have been the only mods he told you of but the stock exhaust with cat wont let the thing build decent boost. Also unless it was a one pass wonder the stock intercooler wont suppourt that turbo.

Ok maybe on race gas with 23 lbs of boost on a 40 degree day after letting it cool all the way down for 3 hours it ran 11.99? With a tail wind. Thost typhoons weigh well over 4000lbs!

But no need to argue there are some of them that run well but it takes alot more than the GN's do to get them there.

i still say go with the civic.. yo

DieselKickYoAss4Sure 03-04-2007 12:23 PM

yeah he had exhaust and an intake, they aren't really considered a mod to me. I'm sure he did some other things to it that I'm not remembering but i know for a fact it was stock inter-cooler. on a 40* day there is no doubt.

and **** the gas engines anyway diesel it bitch! hah ah ah

a little off topic but, how hard is to find a tta? (i think i just found a future project)

Its called wikipedia and the production number is 1500.

WayFast84 03-04-2007 05:10 PM

this isnt a whats faster thread or a benchracing thread, I just had a simple question about buicks not typhoons. I went on turbobuick.com and i still cant find a list of all them.

DieselKickYoAss4Sure 03-04-2007 05:55 PM

wooohooo! bench-racing! You asked what makes Buick so much better than Chevy v6 we said a few reasons why and were simply were stating that typhoon is a perfect example of Chevy being just as good as Buick! its all in how the engines were built dude, your question is kinda pointless, like saying what makes the lt1 have more power than a 350 out of a pickup truck! And as far as you looking and trying to find all the turbo Buick cars that were made there was a few and if you come across one for sale its of very few that are for sale so buy it IF you have the money! End of thread!

JSPERFORMANCE 03-04-2007 06:14 PM

the 1500 number should tell you how hard it is to find a REAL one..

jin1481 03-04-2007 06:51 PM

yeah i noticed that

BigAls87Z28 03-04-2007 07:20 PM

Sy/Ty was the fastest truck till the SRT10, which was then knocked out by an HSV spec Ute.
