Really? You must not read much. The M6 comment is based on the fact that BMW designed one of the most comprehensive and advanced handling packages ever for an automobile for the M6, as explained in the one hour show on it on the Discovery Channel. The M6 wasn't meant for strait line acceleration, but handling. The Zo6 comment was meant to be sarcastic, but it seams to have gone over everyones head. It was intended to be a sarcastic remark about the history of american muscle cars and how they were outfitted with giant engines and poor handling, where German cars were the opposite, case in point, the Porsche 944 Turbo. It was designed as a chassis first for handling, and they only needed to put a tiny 4 cyl 186hp motor in it to make it competitive for road course racing. It was a light hearted joke, relax people.

you think the M6 is super special because BMW gave the discovery channel a bunch of money to shoot a documentary?
BMW does not use a proprietary stability control system, they did consult in it's developemnt. the system and most of it's patents are held by Bosch, a company that General Motors holds a large interest in.

  Yup, definitely flew WAY over my head because you're not the first person to make a comment like that, lol.

Z06 is a full tilt race car, set to take on just about every super car out there on the track, and be able to stay at least neck and neck with the best. Not only straight line, but also in turns.
The new Corvette manager is a die hard road racer, and a mega-car guy. He races in several series and does very well. He will have full control over the C7, its development and design, as well as chassis tuning and performance. He is the reason why the Blue Devil came back from the dead.
