one of my good buddies mark has a g35 coupe (and i have driven the sedan before)... i have a few comments to make. first off, those cars are heavier than they need to be. compared to a goat, which is only 100 pounds heavier then an f-body,there is no need for the weight. the handling isn't all that great, its not bmw status, and i have never driven a goat to compare it to, but from my understanding, the GTO just won the f-car stock class in the scca i believe. those cars are slow too, you're gonna hate you're life going from a v8 to a weaksauce high 14 second car. and personally, my biggest gripe about the car, is the nameplate. Nissan consistantly ranks among the lowest of the Manufacturers in reliability. usually around the bottom 10%. my buddies 90k mile maxima has blown the trans, diff, clutch, all in the past month. i can go on forever with people i have heard say "i will never buy another nissan."
besides, do you really wanna be another g35 owner? be original. i'm not saying you should get a goat, all i'm saying if your gonna spend the coin for a g35, don't. because there are far better alternatives.
out of my group at school, i have teh camaro, and then there is ragi's 300whp VW, pete's bmw 330, and then mark's g35. and we always crack on the G35 cause his was the most expensive out of all of our cars and is by far the worst performing out of all of them.
