Absolutely in NJ...

familiar with out pos roads and police, lol

i was thinking 15% tints.. is that too much too little?

and 1 1/2" drop.. should i maybe go 1 1/4"?

i was going to through on anti-sway bars too, maybe i should post this in the performance section.. but i hear the ss has an antisway bar on it thats pretty good?

yes, they are 32mm, as to my V6 had 30mm hollow, im not sure if yours are hollow. im not sure if Z28's came with 32mm, but if you wanna go bigger, RKsport sells 35mm front and 25mm rear, and you can get it as a set for 325. I got them and now whenever i go thru a hard turn or and on/off ramp, my car does not crouch one inch, it stays flat as a board, but they work together with sfc's so well. youll also notice a more, responsive handling, before i put them on, whne ihit certain bumps down my road, it would wantto make the car go left or right, now i go over em, and the car doesnt flinch.

The tint will also attract a lot of police attention so don't go too dark. The blacked out headlights will also attract police attention so that might not be worth it either. If you're not in NJ, then ignore what I said. Oh, by the way, you'll never be able to tow a boat if you lower it too far!

LOL...I've been waiting for you to post a picture like this! The only one I saw was of the marks you left on the ramp when you almost got stuck!!!

Any who.....Car looks great :) I like the lowering idea....if not...they look like a 4x4  Good luck with it

I shopped around for the vinyl for the back - the cheapest place I found it was http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/vinyl/vinyl.htm
It took him about a week to get them out to me- but they were really nice. I was happy with it - I think they were $8 with free shipping.

The SS actually handles really well from the factory. It's really a little too stiff for our POS roads. It would be a waste doing much to try and improve the handling. The biggest issue with lowering is if you have to deal with speedbumps anywhere. My parking lot at work has them so no way I would lower. The headers on my 70 SS396 already scrape on them at work. Lowering will make it look better but the handling won't improve a lot over stock. If you're not planning on autoxing the car then don't waste too much time or $$ on the suspension/handling improvements. The best handling improvement you can make is putting on a trailer hitch! It actually bolts together the whole rear frame area much tighter and you can easily feel the difference. I'm not sure what the law is on tint % here in NJ but if you go too dark you will probably get hassled and might not pass inspection.

15 % looks great I have it on my formy. It's truly luck of the draw what cops will bust your balls over it. Some care, some dont, if you catch one on a bad day you can be sure that you will get hassled and probably a ticket. Back window can legally be tinted I believe as dark as you want. Sides can't, but oh well.

Actually, the hitch is very low profile and 90% of the people that look at the back of the car never see it until I point it out. I also use the hitch to mount a bike rack for carrying my mountain bike and that way there is no chance the bike will ever touch the car.

Looks fine the way it is to me. But then again, I'm a purist when it comes to the appearance and cosmetics of F-bodies.
