willie nelson and toby keith one is good |
oh yeah, emerson drive - moments is incredible. Brad Paisleys ticks is catchy, but its stereotypical. I like songs that dont make the singer sound incredibly dumb.

you guys totally forgot about Jason Aldean
he's a personal favorite... his album is great |
Don't be forgettin' bout Skynyrd now
Tuesday's Gone Red White and Blue Free Bird Simple Man The Ballad of Curtis Lowe And of course Sweet Home Alamaba. Phil Vasser and Travis Tritt are also very good, check them out. Also check out Cole Deggs and the Lonesome, they just came out with their new song "I've Got More", Jason Aldean - "Johnny Cash", Montgomery Gentry - "Lucky Man", Trace Adkins "I Wanna Feel Somethin", and Whiskey Falls - "Last Train Running. And if you don't have the song "Hillbilly Deluxe", by Brooks and Dunn, d/l it as soon as possible, because its definitely one of the best songs ever written 8-) |

I was a typical suburban Jersey metalhead throughout my teen years and into my early 20s. Then I met a girl who turned me country. She's long gone, but still love the music (Sounds like a song title; I should write it down). I still like to pop in a Metallica or Life of Agony CD now and again when I need a shot of adrenaline, but for the most part, my favorites are: Toby Keith (In your face redneck songs), Brooks and Dunn (Honky Tonk all the way), Montgomery Gentry (In your face redneck AND honky tonkin', especialy the "My Town" album), Kenny Chesney (The chicks dig 'em and some of the lyrics are pretty deep) and any female with an honestly powerful voice. Sara Evans tops the list there. Oh, and lately, I've gotten into Hank Williams III. He's the grandson of the late and original Hank. For you metalheads, he does two shows a night: One with his country band ("This Damn Band") and a second with his metal band ("Assjack").
