Yea, we know you do. The report post icon is to be used for things that actually violate rules, not just things that annoy you Kasey

Well, thanks again everyone :) IMO, can't ever get to much recognition, so it doesn't matter that the thread was old :D

John, Matt and Kasey... my fuel isn't gasoline.. it can be in any jug it wants to. Until the state changes that too....

Mike 04-06-2008 09:58 PM

who will bust balls about fuel? the track or the state?

i dont plan on having it from place to place, just filling at the track and then putting into the car....that day

GP99GT 04-06-2008 09:59 PM

the track was announcing over the PA last sunday that gasoline must be in a red container, etc

Mike 04-06-2008 10:00 PM

hmm

79CamaroDiva 04-06-2008 11:02 PM

its the state police... I had to put this on teh website..

Important Note:
Effective Immediately: As per NJ Uniform Fire Code, all gasoline must be stored in red approved containers.
It's only a matter of time before NJSP gets on englishtowns case about selling fuel in the blue VP cans. and since we have no way to dispose of them, we have to put a surcharge on anyone bringing them in because people leave them every week.

So what are they going to do? Tell VP that they have to change the color of their cans so it doesn't confuse people? Then what about the people that don't know the difference between leaded and unleaded fuel? A red gas can will look like a red gas can to them.

 what they do with the VP cans is their business. We sell Sunoco, which is why we have no way to dispose of VP cans. If englishtown hadn't gotten in trouble with their gas pumps they wouldn't be selling only in 5 gallon drums, but thats now the only way they sell their fuel. The racers end up losing.

By the fire code, blue cans are supposed to be kerosene, but thats neither here nor there.

SteveR 04-07-2008 10:26 PM

What was that whole deal with e-town and the gas pumps? I overheard you dad talking about it, something about having to dig up the tanks?

79CamaroDiva 04-07-2008 10:35 PM

yeah, its not my place to say really, but they took some major short cuts when they put in the tanks, and are now catching the repurcussions from it.

SteveR 04-07-2008 10:37 PM

oops
