The Fast is a VW mascot. They created the character, and used an advertising campaign that went something like "Make friends with your Fast" when they introduced the new GTI.

They were all the rage when they came out. Everyone who bought a new GTI that year got one I think, and several went up on Ebay. I know some sold for over $1,000.

I actually started to update a few of those pictures & re-edit them, because I'm not to happy with the way they came out.

No prob. I actually saw the poor guy try to drive his car in the snow coming out of the shopping center around here. I said a little prayer for him to make it home alright. I've been there so watching those tires spin brought back some memories lol.
