hmmm...The camaro or the T/A...I can't decided...so I'll drive both

transamkid 11-12-2007 09:26 PM

yes, the 94 six banger will be serving winter duties

LS1LT1 11-13-2007 08:36 AM

Yes and no here as well...I will be driving my Z28 (I have four snow tires/wheels for it) throughout the winter but will still be driving the Corvette on the dry/salt free days as well so they're really both daily drivers.
The reasons I have no real designated beater are I can't justify the extra cost/insurance, don't have the space and basically I want to always be driving something relatively fun/fast :helmet: because life is too short LOL. :drive:

Iroc-z86 11-13-2007 09:03 AM

nope currently the iroc doesnt have a motor in it. i have a gp for my dd

zuuhlsT/A 11-13-2007 03:30 PM

Weather permitting I might drive it on weekends but my 94 GMC Sierra will always be my dd no matter what.

nj96z28 11-13-2007 04:28 PM

jola 11-13-2007 04:31 PM

Yep, no choice. Its always exciting going up snow covered hills...who knows there my car will end up!

Rafterman 11-13-2007 07:25 PM

Kojak 11-13-2007 09:56 PM

wrong generation 11-14-2007 12:54 AM

yup sure will be no point in having it if im not gona drive it

firebirdcrazy 11-15-2007 10:06 AM

The 1st year I had my bird and getting stuck in ice and snow I bought a set of 15 inch rims and put all season tires with studs. I couldnt get the car stuck its just a lot of wear on the suspension but it works for those who have one car. All I paid was 100 bucks for the whole thing in a used tire lot. So just go to a junkyard or used tire seller and get it done cheap. I will be using my car if its not snowing. I love my ride lol

Mike 11-15-2007 03:56 PM

ill be driving my trailblazer

3rdGenLT1 11-15-2007 04:55 PM

last year was my baby's first winter and unfortunately this will be its second

12secondv6 11-16-2007 07:45 PM

Dunno..... if I remain living in Wayne then I should be fine in the trans am

If I move.....it will be north into snowy country so might need a new beater.

Also - work might give me a beater benz when things get really bad

Savage_Messiah 11-17-2007 03:18 PM

Yes I will be driving my car as a DD this winter. If you're talkign about my benz.

JL8Jeff 11-17-2007 03:50 PM

The long range winter forecast is for a warmer than normal winter with no sign of a deep cold snap like we had last year. Perfect for driving your F-body all year round!

qwikz28 11-17-2007 03:55 PM

kinda, just for diagnostic purposes though to get it 100% for spring :). thank God for the saturn

damon_Z 11-18-2007 08:56 PM

Unless your car is a 1-model-year European exotic or a super-rare muscle car (i.e. Buick GNX, Camaro ZL1, etc), you have a bad investment. See your car as a tool or a perishable item and nothing else. With that said, I'm driving both my cars to the ground. The 2002 Z28 and the 2006 GTO that I bought both brand-new back in the day will stay on the road all year round. I respect anybody that does the same.
