Could be nothing wrong with it, but its just my personal preference.

Yeah, it can be a tough call. On one hand it's been driven hard, but on the other hand it has probably had frequent oil changes, etc. Somebody clueless could have driven it harder through mistreatment.

Going by feeling makes the Mustangs guys think their so fast.... for some reason they do when you sit in them when they take off. But my LS1 has stepped on my friends GT every single time(including the countless others). And he has headers and yadda yadda, i'm basically stock lol. Don't go by feeling. I owned a 95 Z28 and it felt like a beast till my throat was stomped on by a stock 01 Z28. LS1 FTW.... def look into them :)

I know you shouldn't buy raced cars, but Im really thinking about buying Ron's car, as ill need a DD in a few months. But on the other hand, I know that Ron probably had all the maintenance done. I mean Its going to be a different trans and rear, and the motor will still have a warranty on it.

I just wish it was a little cheaper.

 I was blown away at the torque power of the L98

and IMO, the LS1 Trans Am's look better, just my opinion

MY 93 LT1 starts to pull at 2600 and keeps pulling till 6000 rpm. First gr spins 2nd starts to hook and third and fourth pull like a champ. Well fourth did but its dead now. I think the syncro is gone. I really only have headers a cat back and a cai, and 3.73s.

My current 2 cars

2000 Fixed Roof Corvette
2000 Firebird Formula

My past rides

2001 Camaro SS 385hp,1999 Camaro B4C,1998 Trans Am a4,1999 Camaro ZZ8 M6,1995 Camaro Z28 M6,1994 Camaro Z28 A4,1994 Camaro Z28,1994 Camaro Z28,1994 Firebird V6

Yup this is all over the past 9 years. Tons of facts in this thread. Both great LT1 and LS1 great motors. LS1 huge aftermarket support faster out of the box. Please lets end this thread that has been beatin to death since 1998:rolleyes:

I thought the same thing when I read it lol...If I had a dollar for every LT1 vs. LS1 post on tech,ls1.com,cz28 since the LS1 arrived id be very wealthy. I too thought my LT1 was faster until I raced and got stomped by my friends stock a4 99 ss..I had gear, exhaust, intake also

Eh, I'd rather an untouched car. In my experience, at least 7 out of 10 modded cars have corners cut so they can afford what they have. Add that to the 'beaten on' part.
