Going black again but not sure if i want to mess with painting the scoop of the SS hood diff - red? grey? not really a fan of stripes. I cant stop thinking about it.

i wish i knew. That paint job is a 4 year old baseline macco paint job from when my brother had the car.

Blacdout96 01-13-2008 09:55 PM

hm, is it hunter green or black? m eyes say one thng and then in a pic i see a slith green , but it might be from the lens

ap2000z28 01-13-2008 10:51 PM

I think the car is black? Im not sure, ups55 you live in TWP right?

usp55 01-14-2008 12:17 AM

no its black, sorry i wasnt sure if different types of paint have different color codes. wasnt sure where u were going with that.

yea ap - H Valley

keep the car completely black, except for the hood scoop, theres a vinyl kit out there that looks nasty for it if I can find it.

usp55 01-14-2008 12:27 AM

i think id rather spray the scoop than have a decal put on it. might cost more but i think the end result will be better, but let me see the kit if u find it.

Blacdout96 01-14-2008 12:47 AM

Well I cant find the kit, but I can find it on a car. its called a Camaro ZL-1 supercar. Im not a big fan of the vinyl at the inlet of the scoop, but what lays on top I love and if I get a SS hood I might get that. and get yours in red, personally, only yello or red go well with a black car in my eyes.

usp55 01-14-2008 07:19 PM

- yea i know its just something different.

- i talked to hime last night, he payed a pretty penny for them 2 years ago and they have been sitting in my garage for the past 6 months. make him a reasonable offer and im sure he sell em to yea. like i said they have rubber on them but nothing i would ride on, hell the one tire has i think 4 diff nails in it, ha. If u wana stop by tonigh ill be here all night and he'll be homw after 11 (if he dosent go bowling) if u wana talk to him bout a price you to can agree on.

ap2000z28 01-14-2008 07:23 PM

I'll give him $250 no tires..lmk

usp55 01-14-2008 07:26 PM

ill let him know when i see him

usp55 01-14-2008 08:25 PM

250 is just not worth it he said. $400 is as low as he will go. He wanted more, talked him down cause i dont think they would ever sell for what he wanted. They also have the center caps.

ap2000z28 01-14-2008 08:37 PM

nah thats ok man ill prob just pick up a set on ls1tech..let me know if you go to any meets or anything well cruise there together if you want.

usp55 01-14-2008 08:48 PM

Ok - that’s a definite on the cruse - I haven’t been to any meets and I cant wait to get the car finished and show it off. I plan on painting it the 1st week in march – hopefully the winter will be winding down and people will have their maro’s back on the street not long after.
