what the hell is a serlion? oh, wait, did you mean sirloin? ah. remember bugs bunny, as he knights the dufus, he says, "i now dub thee: sir loin of beef, sir osis of liver..."

as for me, it's time to put some faces to names in the southern region. i'll be there, provided i can finagle transport. it's getting mighty warm outside... the count down to the dewinterizing begins...

bubba428 03-14-2008 01:10 PM

south meets have to be out in the woods lol...we should go to some run down redneck bar...out in Port Republic, Mulica, or Waymouth

why not??? those places are the most fun...Back when the Blue Marlin was The Pitney Tavern that was the greatest place, It still is. Backwoods taverns are the best shoot pool drink whiskey and listen to skynyrd....whats wrong with that?

98tadriver 03-15-2008 03:36 PM

no dice. i like the roadhouse 20 mins from me. its the closest meet that i can attend! it could be worse, the place meet could be at the capemay lighthouse all of the time!

I might be iffy on this meet now. ive been laid off since the end of october 2007, only working 2 weeks recently. Now im in AC working on the new Harrahs tower on the 42nd floor and the company informed me that we're working five 10's M-F, 8 on saturday, and quite possibly 8 on sunday. Normally i dont do overtime, but they're giving me journeyman's rate and lots of OT on this job. i need to make up for those few months ive been out! It sucks that i might miss this meet, but i gotta do what i gotta do

How long does this event go on for? I'm not sure if I can get off from work yet or not. I thought this was a nighttime event.

We'll meet up at 11:30, head inside to eat lunch at noonish, and prolly hang around and BS for a while after the meal. I would say things will be pretty much wrapped up by 3:00, 3:30 at the latest.

The february meet, I got there like 1220, few people already there, I was the last to leave and I left at like 320-330. Granted, there were a total of 9 people at the meet.

I might have to pull a show and go. I really wanted to come and was planning to take off from work to go but I heading out to Maui about a week after the meet and cant afford to lose (no rhyming please) a days pay. Work is at 4 over at Philly Int'l so I really cant stay too long and have to leave no later than 2-2:30 at the latest...

Usually everyone is outside BSing after we eat around 1:30 so you should be safe

I'll be leaving shortly after 2:00 as well, you'll have no problem with time to eat and hang out....
