i've never had my bid cancelled, so i don't know what exactly is going on. i do know that the auction was within 24 hours of ending, so i have to assume that something shady is going on. i was the second-to-the-top-bidder at 102.50, and i guess he didn't want to sell it for so cheap (top bidder may have withdrawn?), so he cancelled my bid? whatever the case is, i have decided not to bid again (item was relisted - second red flag) and let him get rid of his junk on someone else.

i did. that was the first thing i did after reading the email telling me my bid was cancelled and that the item had been relisted. ;)

Heh....if he didn't want to let it go, he should have put up a reserve.
