apology accepted. |
actually, i am real interested in how far along she was because all of the news sources state that she "delivered" the baby... and since no charges have been filed (airplane story), how did she deliver in the bathroom, then leave it in the trashcan? i mean, she had to know it was human in origin and not a used tampon she forgot to take out... or am i assuming too much?
|
So sad. She was old enough to be a participant in the act then she was old enough to realize that it was a fetus/baby. Even if she was unclear on what it was, wouldn't she have alerted someone about it? I am sure that this wasn’t something that happened to her on a regular basis.

how can any woman be unclear as to what it was? i dont even know where to begin on this. This is so incredibly ignorant that I want to auto-attribute it to typical american ignorance I am annoyed and outraged at the same time, the fact that this type of thing has become commonplace in this country disgusts me utterly. life is **** , you did the deed , now deal ... |

yeah, there is a big difference between the girl on the plane and the girl in the school. one of them gave birth to a full term baby and tried to flush it down the toilet, the other had a miscarriage and threw it in the trash can.
ok, since it didn't come out of her normal, like a full term baby would, you can assume that she should have known about it. second, since she threw it in the trash can, she was getting rid of it (if she had known it was a baby). third, the people cleaning the plane knew it was a baby, since they alerted authorities about it. you wouldn't alert authorities about a miscarried embryo, because you couldn't tell what it was or even if it was human. so i think the propensity to take it easy on this girl because she claimed she didn't know what it was is misplaced. again, the people cleaning the plane knew what it was... i think the police didn't file charges because the baby wasn't viable when it left its mother. by that, they are assuming that the baby wouldn't have lived regardless of what happened. that does not let this girl off of the moral obligation to tell someone. |
what obligation does she have to tell someone? her problem (that she didn't know she had) is now gone.. in her mind she got off scott free, she didn't have to tell a soul

your statement has really rocked me. is this really how young people think? well, as long as no one else knew about it, then it's ok? where does that line of thinking end? as long as no one knew you killed a man, then why should you tell anyone... as long as no one knows you dig child pornography, then why should anyone know about that? unbelievable. |

What's the father's role in this whole mess

i'd like to hear about the father of the baby that was flushed, too. that baby, the one in the bathroom, was full-term, so i'm wondering how he's feeling knowing that the baby's mother killed his chances at being a father... |

SHE DID NOT TAKE A LIFE, THE BABY WAS STILLBORN the only debate here is that it should have been in a hazmat container rather than a trash can
i think its all a hoax to promote the sequel to snakes on a plane |

i think, at the very least, her parents should have been told. hopefully before the police knocked on the door, too. how is it that the police knew who to go to, but the girl "didn't know she was" preggers? i don't think the full story has been told. we'll probably never know, and the most we can do is speculate amongst ourselves. i don't agree about the hazmat container, but certainly something other than the trashcan. yet another life, thrown in the garbage. |
jesus christ. If it was stillborn it wasn't a life, or if it was it was one that had ended by the time it came out of its mother.
And yes, it should have been in a hazmat bucket with biohzard labels. |
Basically we are talking about 2 teenage girls that had sex way too young. I would assume unprotected sex since they both got knocked up and were unwilling to assume responsibility for their actions. It's just a damn shame what alot of kids are turning into. Kinda makes me worry about the future of our world abit more..........

I own a preschool and I have a 15 yr old mother with a 17month old and an 18 year old mother with a 3 year old. Kids are popping out babies and not even caring about them.
