I have the Samsung U-740 dual-flip and I'm very happy with it. Battery life is great and I love the qwerty keyboard. Some people say the keys are too small, but I got used them pretty quick. I will never get another phone without qwerty.

Yea, after having my enV I don't think I could go back to non-qwerty either.

I have the newest choc as well. I have the orig. one...total junk! Broke so many times Verizon gave me the new choc as soon as it came out. *yay for verizon*
Ive had it since Sept 07- not a bad phone. as someone already stated, the buttons are kinda small and if a large fingered person is using it, good luck!!
I am due for a new phone in Aug myself. I like all the reviews on various phones, I have no idea what I want to venture off to next.

Good luck with phone shopping :)

i got my white chocolate when they first came out and it's been good to me, and from what i understand the new ones are better and right now are only $30 after rebate. i recently put my phone through a cycle in the washing machine by accident and after letting it dry out for a day it's still going strong!

But you hate chawwwwwcolate

I have your vx8300 and it still works fine, having been dropped/hit several times, no complaints whatsoever. And I have no probs with Verizon service.

firehawk1120 07-02-2008 07:41 PM

Oh the phone works just fine and it has for 2 years, but the battery barely lasts a day, there is no option for vibrate and ring at the same time which I think is dumb. I'm just sick of it.

Are you sure? I thought that phone did have vibrate and ring? I'm pretty sure I've used it before when I had that phone.

! How often do you freakin use it? My battery lasts at LEAST 2 days, with a lot of texting and calling, usually more like 2.5-3!

He's a realtor. He's on it constantly. And mine did the same thing at the end, I had to charge it every day, and I wasn't using it anywhere near as much as he does.

firehawk1120 07-02-2008 10:03 PM

yeah and i don't know if the blue tooth ear piece is draining it faster, but I use my cell for everything. I also don't have the patience or schedule to let the battery drain down then charge it then take it off charger. I pretty much put it on the charger when it gets low over night and leave it til I wake up in the am.

misterjuice 07-02-2008 11:38 PM

yes bluetooth will drain a battery faster than x-lax goes through big fat mamas

firehawk1120 07-05-2008 12:42 AM

ok so from their website I'm looking at one of these 5 phones any suggestions??

Voyager, Glyde, Decoy, Venus, Dare

Have to go look at them and see if I like the slide phones, but I like the touch screen ones alot. Only 15 days to decide

its Jeanne-Marie 07-10-2008 11:15 AM

I picked up a blackberry Curve today.. It suits my purpose

I'm close to getting one of those. You like it so far? How does the web look on it?

I would agree 100% with that statement

no complaints so far, having the wifi is great.. i melted part of my laptop charger and as a replacement it's worked fairly well not even that slow (on wifi)

jims69camaro 07-13-2008 08:13 PM

i like my verizon phone service. the phone is the SCH-U620 slider. you can use it open or closed, it gets TV, music videos, games out the wazoo... i can't think of anything else i would want a phone to do, and it has a memory card under the battery. and the good news is i have the america's choice plan for 34.99 a month (i'm grandfathered in, i don't think you can still get this phone).

i've checked my email with it once or twice, but i don't like how they squish the screen to get it to display properly on the phone.

Still happy with it? I have to decide in the next few days and I think I am between a curve and an env2

if you don't text a lot, don't get the env2. my friend got it and i hate it. the keypad lock sucks and he keeps calling me in his pocket because i am on his speed dial. the front screen is useless and (imo) using the inside is annoying.

now, i used to have the blackberry pearl. the pearl itself was a terrible phone. i broke 2 new ones in a month and reverted back to my chocolate to save money. if i could afford the internet plan, i would go back to blackberry. the full keyboard is easy to use because you hold the phone in a better position than the env2. it becomes useful at times you wouldn't expect. i downloaded GMail onto the phone, google calendar, and google reader. if you learn to use the features, your life becomes easier. a bunch of my friends bought the curve and they all love it. get it and don't look back.

Whatever you do dont get the chocolate they are junk. Everyone i know who got that phone has ended up switching to something else because they have so many problems. I have the enV which is really nice. I wish the volume was higher though. Also the battery lasts for a long time.
