i just had a local cop staring HARD at me as i passed by, 5 seconds later, i see him flying up behind me as im coming up to a stop sign. i paused a bit so he could figure out what he was doing then i went on my way and he banged a u turn right where he was. haha. i love it.

As would be my luck, my son had his G8 done just last week with 35% on the BOTH the front and rear side windows and low and behold it took the Piscataway cops just one week to send him a ticket for having it done. Not much of a difference when it was being installed, but GOD FORBID we did break the law. In-town cops with nothing better to do or to look for!

Not only is it pretty difficult to get collectors reg these days, it still won't stop you from getting tickets for it - just won't affect your inspection.

I got a customer who has all of his windows tinted including the windshield. I asked him how the hell he isn't getting pulled over for it. He replies, "I'm a corrections officer, I show my badge and get a 'courtesy'." He gets out of it, but it still sounds like too much of a pain in the neck to deal with.

i had a tint ticket mailed to me once, town of seabright, losers lol. oh well, i paid it, eventually, just took a warrant to persuade me enough. My sky is quite dark and will stay that way, nj cops have followed me a few times so far but none have pulled the trigger on me yet. I guess it helps when they run my plate and returns a military address... haha.
