Huh? Care to elaborate a little bit?

i would love to own one. comforts of the new cars, looks of the older one. that is on the cheaper end of the restomod prices. some go for up to 100k.

For some reason, that just doesn't seem right to me. Why would you do all that work for the title to get branded? A branded title to me just means that the car has been wrecked and brought back to life. If someone has carfax they could run the vin and find out if it was a wreck or not.

Its got the wrong dash in it. Isnt that the dash from an LS1 car?

you cant register a salvage title until you get the car rebuilt to 100% factory specs and schedule an inspection for a title reinstatement by the DMV and they go over the car with a fine tooth comb and it has to be in 'like new' condition for them to issue you a title so you can register it. It'll cost more to buy the car and have to do all that then to buy a brand new car.

97 was the first year for the "LS1 Dash" along with the new style tail lights.

Well, it stated in the ad that this would be done: Title type is S - Salvage and will be converted to R - Reconditioned on title Transfer.. The Vehicle will receive a full PA inspection and Title Transfer to the new owner is Included at no additional cost to the buyer. Once this is done in PA, the title will transfer over in NJ as a clean title. Therefore, no full inspection in NJ and no hassles. Ask me how I know. :shifty:

this is true no matter what vehicle you're talking about. 113,517 miles, salvage title, wrong and/or missing parts, graphics are off by almost a full inch on the hood (most noticeable by the headlights and the beginning of the scoop)... i could go on and on. i don't think anyone would buy it for 13k. hell, he started out the auction at 4 and no one bit.

$47.5K for a car with a rebuilt title.

yeah, but this is a completely different story. this is a work of art, where the other car is just a salvage car rebuilt with questionable parts and labor.

i think you're better off starting with a Dynacorn body and retro-fitting all of the 2002 pieces to fit the '69 body. if you look at that car, it seems that something is amiss, especially the windshield from the front view. i don't know, i am only guessing since i don't know the owner or the builder, but it just seems weird. i wonder how much fabrication is under that body...

Stevoone 07-23-2008 10:59 AM

There was an ad in Chevy HP a few months ago for a similar car to the 69/02. But it was based off a Vette. I think it said the place that makes these is in California.

They actually sell new bodies for '69s that are all set up for 4th gen suspension parts. I forget who makes them though.

yep. dunno where they are based, but they can even work with other manufacturers (DSE, Chris Alston, Strange, etc.) to have the right pickup points/attach points for their products. Dynacorn is the name...

Oh, I thought you meant the Dynacorn original body, not the one with the 4th gen frame.

jims69camaro 07-23-2008 08:37 PM

it's not the unit body "frame" that gets changed, it's just a little extra support here and there and the right attach points for the suspension you plan to install so that it moves like a factory-installed part that matters. i am sure you are thinking about another company that accepts the dynacorn body and does all of the modifications to it, but i read that dynacorn can do the same thing before it leaves their factory. i think i'd trust it a little more if it was done all at the same time rather than piece-meal. sending it out to whoever to get the job done. to each his own, though.
