Wow, and they didn't automatically assume you were a drug mule huh? In Indiana driving between Indianapolis and Chicago, anyone with IL plates is followed for several miles, has their plates run, and gets pulled over for some stupid reason just to shine a flashlight into the backseat. So many mules, so few miles between cities.

I usually don't get messed with when I drive from Indy to greenville, Il on 70. I do see lots of cops though.

get used to it. the cops love our cars, we all know it.

My PBA cards have gotten me out of everything in NJ, only two tickets I've gotten were in MD and one in NJ when I left everything at home by accident. I've only ever had any cards taken away by a cop that knows me, who proceeded to give them back to my dad. That wasn't nice at all.

whats a pba card?..

79CamaroDiva 08-09-2008 11:38 AM

stands for policemans benevolent association.

basically, friends of cops.

that part is the part that sucks. you never know what they say when they "give the card back" to the officer it came from. it ruined one friendship i had going with my brother-in-law, and it's not like i was way out of line. the cop was just being a dick that day and i caught it with both barrels. since then, i've only talked with the bro-in-law when he was forced into it by a family situation, and it's usually always awkward.

now, my nephew has been hooking me up. i recently told him i felt like the red-headed step-child, as i was the only one who didn't have a family card from him. i said, what, i'm not family? he still hasn't given up the card, but i know one day i'll get it from him.

anyway, i've been in some precarious situations with cops who have told me to 'have a nice day' once i showed them the pba card. it usually gets handed over with my drivers license and insurance card, and then they go through each card to see if everything is current. some have taken the cards back to their car, presumably to make sure everything is on the up and up, then they come back and hand everything over before saying, have a nice day.

he didn't take them away to give them back to the cops they came from (i mistakenly gave him a few instead of just one) he gave it back to my dad in essense to "tell on me"

i think i saw you that night! were you on hamilton ave in roebling by any chance?

shortieee 08-12-2008 03:49 PM

Damn worst thing I ever got was "hazardous tires" ticket. $75 fine, $25 court fee ... And that was it.
