The state governments are complaining that they're not making enough money off the gas tax because people are driving less, their solution? raise the tax :banghead:

Nope, last time gas was $113 a barrel was around May. In May I paid anywhere from $3.60-$3.90 a gallon for premium, so believe it or not, the gas prices are about the same. Last time gas was $2.80 a gallon the barrel was selling between $70-$80.

98tadriver 08-17-2008 04:30 PM

3.40something here 4 regular in south jersey but still 3.80 something for premium.. why such a huge gap between the two? i remember it being 10-15cents difference a while back

bubba428 08-17-2008 04:48 PM

its 3.42 here in AC and 3.78 for ultra

BigAls87Z28 08-17-2008 08:49 PM

usually abotu 20-30 cents difference from regular to high test.
3.55 at the Exon, everywhere else is lower by 10 cents or more.

chemicalstylez 08-18-2008 10:20 AM

3.40 for regular.... 3.64 for 93 octane in pitman....only place i buy gas now.

also atlantic city is cheap as hell too, when i was there saturday it was in the low 3.40s for regular

BigAls87Z28 08-18-2008 11:05 AM

3.64 for Premium!! DAMN!!
Still above 4 bucks for 93.

Gas Stations make very little money (if any at all) on fuel. Most of their money is made on service and/or convenience stores.

I work at a wawa here in Lanoka Harbor(I'm just a poor high school student), turns out our gas isn't as bad as the smaller stations. Most of our gas comes from the same refineries as Lukoil's. We're lucky if we make 3 cents a gallon on the gas, it's pretty much there just to draw attention to the store. Anyway, gas as of tonight is $3.48(87),$3.72(89), $3.84(92). My car is tuned on Wawa 92 :D

SuperSweet 08-20-2008 02:50 PM

3.49 REG/ 3.79 V-power in Union

Can you please PM that to Jamz28, or w/e his name is, so he quits saying that gas stations make 50 cents on gallon of gas...

Haha..poor wayfast...in a matter of 2 days(after his b-day), he went from having a thread congratulating him on getting his license, and now everyone just thinks of him=fail. Shoulda got a 4th gen :).

Anyway, back on topic, oil jumped big today for some bs reason, right now it's hanging around $121 a barrel.

.

In the overall scheme, Wayfast has always = fail. We only celebrated his birthday and he got his license, but since then he has returned to fail.
