Check out a few other sites, not to mention the overall outpouring of fans about the car that made ita clear choice for GM to make it. You, sir, are in the minority. Challenger nor the Mustang's hood scoops are functional. Why get upset about it. What visually seperates a V6 from a Z28 from an SS Camaro 4th gen? V6 to Z28, a badge Z28 to SS, a hood, spoiler and wheels. OH yeah...and a badge. |

Storm = Vega?
|
Vega was at least RWD.
Storm is a 4cyl "sports coupe" for the Geo brand. Isuzu or Suzuki I belive. |

I for one like the way 4th gens look, especially the LT-1 Formulas. I wonder if GMs crappy marketing had anything to do wit the sales figures?
|
those storms were stupid reliable. I guess because no opti-spark.

4th gens did not appeal to most women. The sales numbers I saw a while back were so far skewed towards males it was nuts. Too low, hard to see out of, giant doors, blah blah blah. All turned the average woman off. They bought mustangs. Still the secretary car that occasionally gets a big engine. Yes, I know there are ladies here. But see out outnumbered they are? Our wonderful ladies are thankfully not average! Now they are scared the base is too fast (300HP RWD is not a Corolla) and will turn off women. Really. |
Car 2ndo nthe list of Mustang V6 buyers? Grand Am coupe.

04 GTO outsold the 02 Trans Am.
|
i can't tell in the pics, does the production car get projector headlights?
|
Unless you get the RS package, all Camaro's will get standard halogen reflector lights.
RS Package gets you the Halo/Projector HID's. |
Can you get an RS/SS?
|
Yes, yes you can. RS package on the SS gets you the famed Halos, darkend wheels, tail lights, as well as Red SS badges.
|
hmm, RS/SS in chameleon paint.... :D

T/A's are too low slung and harsh riding for them maybe... |
GTO is a better car overall. Design suffers a bit due to the direct to USA importation, but dollar for dollar, the 33k GTO is a better buy then the 33k Trans Am.

Wait... what's wrong with a car being comfortable?
|

They're heavy, hideous and slow. They almost keep up with the 98-02 F cars only because they pack more HP, at least in the LS2 versions, and even then they really don't put up too good of a fight. Even a "meh" F-body driver could dust a 350hp GTO no problem. GTO's are a waste in every sense of the word. There are probably about 5 people on the planet who give a rats ass about the Monero Goats and the rest think it's a turd. The Holden's were MUCH nicer! I'd take one over a GTO hands down. GM fumbled big time there. They should have gone with a design similar to the 99 concept car. THAT was a GTO! And I dont' mind comfort, but not at the expense of hundreds of extra pounds. The damn seats weigh almost as much as the driver! |
Im not impressed with the new camaro, all it has going for it is hype of bringing the car back. I dont really understand the whole retro craze. I would have rather seen a completely new design instead of trying to clone a dinosaur.
|
Still not a fan. I wish they would make the concept not this thing. The nose is really fugly.
