... Well its all about what you looking for. In my Opionion the best pair of 10's that will match evenely with the amp you have now would be , 2 10' Mtx Jackhammers. They have lower RMS that will match up with your amp. Now to mention the CI (Cubic Inch) For the Subs is lower so it will sound better than in the smaller box. Thats whats good about MTX and Pioneer , They sound Great in ALMOST ANY box. And for the guys aruging about ALPINE. There good subs dont get me wrong they hit but theyre over priced and if you want SPL your going in the wrong direction. My buddy had 4, 12' type r's in his expo with a audio bahn 3600x1. And my 2 , 12' inch Audio Pipes hit harder. and it way cost less.

i had 2 soundstream 12" Mules in my SS, Blaupunkts back when i had my GTA, and i had a JL 12w7 in my Denali... Next setup i get will be JLs 10's with a soundstream amp.

i have 2 10"s and it rediculous.... but that is in the cab of my pick-up.

I have just one JL 12w3v2 and the bass is insane for just having one woofer! 10" might be a better choice since most claim they produce a "tighter" sound than a 12" (which is usually louder and boomier).
Bazookas sound good too when used as directed (I had a 10" Bazooka before I got the 12" JL and a box). If you didn't get subs yet, I would go for JL's if you have the money. If not, go with a decent brand (Pioneer, Alpine, prety much what others already recommended) if money is an issue. |
this thread has been around for like 9 months have you figured out a combination yet?
