who heats there garage?

I do (now only when I am working) but when I lived in Bordentown we had a heated/AC garage that we would heat to 55 in the winter....keeps down the humidity so stuff doesnt rust as easy.

LTb1ow 12-08-2008 03:56 PM

I just keep the garage door shut, seems to stay at a comfortable temp to work on things with a light coat on.

bad64chevelle 12-08-2008 03:59 PM

Usually it does, but in an unattached/uninsulated pole barn in the middle of a field where winds are usually around 20-25mph coming straight out of the north it gets a bit chilly.

LTb1ow 12-08-2008 04:00 PM

Ahhh right, get a few propane heaters, we have one at one for our garage, and it keeps it nice and toasty.

bad64chevelle 12-08-2008 04:05 PM

We just put a wood burning stove out there that will warm up to 3300 square feet of insulated building, but there is nothing keeping the heat in currently so its a losing battle for 2400 sq ft.

LTb1ow 12-08-2008 04:08 PM

Carhart overalls FTW. nice and toasty.

The regular Carhart winter stuff I like. It is a good weight for a cool fall or spring day or he dead of winter around here.

Never get the cold/severe weather gear. If the temp is anywhere above -50 your nuts will be sticking to your leg. It is insane, they are absolute over kill for anyone not working on an ice cap.
