I only skipped over some of the new posts, but what's up with this relay everyone is talking about? I just simply spliced into my factory brake light harness and have been running for 6 months without a problem. Is the relay an LT1 brake thing only?

Its hit or miss on some cars. I know I didn't need to do it on my 95.

Well does anyone know of someone who has a true SS that has taken their spoiler off? The spoiler in question that we are talking about has the same SLP brake light in it as the real SS spoiler, so, if anything, that'll tell you if you need a relay on the LS1 cars since you'll be able to see how they were wired from SLP when they did the conversion.

i thought it was just an lt1 thing? or maybe pre obd-II? or random?

It's gotta be something computer related because the connectors for the taillights and spoiler are the same so it has nothing to do with the wiring.

OBD 1.5 blows

that is all

my light works just have the abs light lit up on my dash.

My break light is directly from GM, and it has SLP stamped in it. If you get an ABS INOP light then you need to run the fuse. If you don't and all your LED's are on without any power surges you are good to go.
