the G8 replaced the grand prix, doesn't mean it is one.
the five hundred replaced the taurus, that doesn't mean it's a taurus.

thats not the best example to use, because in fact the ford 500 is a rebadged taurus. ford was trying to shake the taurus styling image and used the 500 nameplate from the past which was a complete whiff beings the newer generations have no clue it was an old name. they have since gone back and renamed the 500 the taurus

The 4th gen Firehawks were too pricey new I agree, but you did get more than a hood...2002 base package offered the high flow induction system for a total of 345hp compared to 325 in the WS6 and a better flowing exhaust, and the optional package offered the Bilstein shocks and Auburn differential.

I wouldn't say the 4th gen Hawks were groundbreaking like the '92, but you still got a bump in performance. And anything said about the Firehawk then could be said about the Camaro SS of the same years.
