what about those covers though, they look sleek on these cars

Well, it's personal preference, but I don't like the covers. Too dark IMO. With the nightshades, you can spray a few light coats until it's at the level of darkness that you like.

I took the blackouts off since those pictures, I missed the look of the grids plus I was kind of tired of the complete solid black look. I want to niteshade them though, just to give a smoked look and still keep the grids. If you are going to get blackouts I would suggest taking the GTS logo off of them like I did. Some soapy water for lubrication and a razor blade works fine to scrape it off.

what was the official violation? like how they wrote u up on the ticket...what was the fine...did u get points?

IROCZman15 02-23-2009 09:54 PM

its a non-moving violation (an equiptment violation)

the general violation that we (cops) write is 39:3-66 : maintenence of lamps... which states that all required lights on the vehicle must be in working order and free from obstruction (dirt, covers, vht, colored film) etc

there are a lot of other light related violations, like impropr use of aux lights (fog lights on when there is no fog), improper color of lamps (blue tinted, green, etc), headlights required with wipers on, and others

but the "cover all" statute for lights is 39;3-66.. its NO points, and depending on the jurisdiction, approc $54 fine .. i got it a few times...but not anymore
