I bought a few new parts and all the gaksets etc. to put the stroker back in, but the weather and my job took so much time I never really dug deep into the car

The only thing I did was to start taking the passenger side wiring harness apart because I'm going to hide it.

So the plan for this year is not to run points, just drive it and just enjoy it and do a few smaller events. Hopefully I can get a few thousand miles on it before breaking it! In 2006 I put 200 miles on it because of tuning issues and a broke posi. 07, 250 miles with a broke axle and then killer the stroker with a spun main bearings, in 2008 - 53 miles because of work and needing to get the tune fixed!

Now racing season starts in just a few weeks, so there is a change in plans:

The stock short block is going to stay in this year and the stroker going to wait until next winter. I need to get the car down to Josh/Kat to have the tune tweaked. Hopefully before the Cops~N~rodders show.

I took a wire wheel and brush to some of my front suspension parts. Other than that, most of the winter was devoted to garage organization and some other projects around the house.

baddest434 03-10-2009 06:36 PM

Bought a orange v6 beater,I put all the old sport coupe front end parts including doors and cowl hood from the black car onto the orange car, sanded the rust bondoed it and painted the whole thing with gloss black spray paint(just today actually). Will be putting the old wheels back on it since my new cobra wheels are wrecked.

The black car got a full interior put in with new carpet and good condition dash and pad and plastics and a 4th gen center console, nicer seats than before but im still looking for a good set of black leather seats and I need a headliner to really complete the interior.
As for everything else its got RS ground effects from a 89 car i picked up 2005 c5 vette wheels not too long ago and a 342 posi ls1 rear with nice disc brakes(just gotta order new brake lines/cables, lca relocation brackets and springs and the rear will be put in very soon). I also had a mostly forged 383 built witih a bunch of new parts for it including mounts water pump holley carb a BUNCH of crap(just waiting to get the time to tear the old one out to make room for the new).

Oh and I sold a ton of old parts
So yea i didnt do much this winter :)

Jen got it due to um...an issue with her 88. It's getting parts from Jen's car and together making one running/working/driving fbody.

Eh instead of making my TA fast I sold it. I got a good truck though to be a DD and hopefully I'll be able to afford another TA within this year.
