Big fail again, old Evo 4g63t. new Evo 4b11t.

Hyundai, Chrysler, Mitsu all worked together on the "world" engines.
The 2.0T car will have MUCH more success. The V6 car is just there to give people a G37 comparo...

Jeez.... I just plain LIKE the genisis. How about that? I really like the way it looks, the fact that it gets 30 mpg on regular gas, turbo charged and rwd.... and I would expect that the aftermarket tuners will have a field day with the car.

The camaro does NOTHING for me - while I will admit, 29 mpg and over 300 hp from a v6 is very nice, I just plain do not like it. The future of GM is VERY uncertain - I would be concerned about a GM and its warranty - esp if it goes under. I understand the camaro is faster but I don't care - my personal feelings is that it is ugly.

whoa, it uses regular? I don't think I've seen an FI car use regular. Interesting.

DevilDougWS6 03-28-2009 01:40 PM

umm...well im pretty positive you need to run premium in an FI setup. you will lose a lot of power ir you dont. and correct me if im wrong but......wont boosted cars run rich if they dont have the proper fuel? or is it the other way around?

Yeah, it is supposed to have the most advanced mutli mapping octane check going. I don't know how aggressive the maps are or how many components they include, but the auto test for 87-89-93 octane and choose the correct map.

GM had the top notch test programming for a long time, looks like the others are catching up

Yup.

If one runs super in the car it picks up like 10-15 rwhp n rwtq - not bad

Im loving that color!

qwikz28 03-28-2009 04:17 PM

i saw it at the dealer as well. test drove a 4cyl Sonata. I loved it but couldn't stomach the crazy engine noise in that car. That was my only gripe with the car and it was enough to turn me away. its nice to see Hyundai stepping up their game

yeah the 4 cyl turbo RWD coupe is the exciting part. Something GM should have made a long time ago. They should just get rid of the v6 car, and go for the v8 thats in the gen sedan. 375 hp, 333 lb/ft. Would propel the car quite nicely I would prob buy the 2.0t of all the new cars in its price range. And yes its the same motor the evo uses. There is a video on youtube of it putting down over 350rwhp with a big turbo and a sweet custom exhaust. Probably double over stock

I haven't seen one in person yet, but they coupe does look quite nice in all the pictures I've seen of it, and with the 2.0 turbo, there will be plenty of very quick ones on the streets soon.
