thunder 05-13-2009 02:17 AM

modern technology on the challenger? really? its a car that has retro style and retro engineering, put it on a diet and give it handling from something other than a barge. IRS FTW

What? Does the wink mean that is sarcasm?

I don't know if IRS = modern amenity, but IMO it is a modern improvement.

BonzoHansen 05-13-2009 10:09 AM

Then I am confused. Do you think "the old gto's in the 60s were irs" or not?

NastyEllEssWon 05-13-2009 11:05 AM

Ok, I am unaware of that. Can you show me an example? I never went to the marissa tomei automotive school, I only like to look at her.

No, they weren't. She said TEMPEST- which had an IRS from 1961-63, pre GTO.

And the early IRS's were not good in design. Something about a crappy camber curve or something like that. Vette guys may cry foul but it's exactly why VBP sells smart struts and such.

NastyEllEssWon 05-13-2009 01:11 PM

touche you got there at the same time. meh

It's OK. Brooks and Dunn don't know what type of rear suspension a GTO has either.

BonzoHansen 05-13-2009 01:21 PM

Vettes didn't get IRS until the C2/1963 model either, IIRC.

Schumacher has a red V6 with the RS package, sticker is $28 and change, they are asking $28 and change! This mark up is a joke, I could see if they had an SS/RS with all the bells and whistles but a V6 model, sad.

Kevil wants $5k over sticker!!!
