Yea, but you can't really desensitize the knock sensor through a tune...

That is what I read, so in all likely ness its wrong cause I know nothing. Since I love to be proven wrong, datalog your car and take note of the knock count? Also, the cam will drive the PCM crazy so you def need a good tune, the LSA may cause false knock. Again, what do I know. |

You, a bolt on car won't be a challenge unless it's ron's trans am
|
Turning the thing off is a lot different than de sensitizing it...

Or are you just shot gun fixing it? |
no codes and i wanted to do it anyway for piece of mind, but im hoping it fixes the problem. Llyod Elliott, Josh from JS, and every other person ive talked to has suggested it. i will go home and check to see if it has an LT4 KM though just because i dont want to rule out anything people suggest
|
What kind of opti is in it and what kind are you replacing it with?
|
idk what kind of opti it is which is why i want to replace it, for all i know it could be the stock 88k mile opti and coil, it will be replaced with an ACdelco unit, thats all ill put in the car
|
I thought you did heads/cam?
Didn't you notice the opti? |
