sweetbmxrider 10-26-2009 01:58 PM

The Yankees getting the swine flu...........

baddest434 10-26-2009 03:53 PM

 i think swisher, posada and matsui already have it. thankfully a-rod was not his usual do nothing in the playoffs and C.C. was great or we might me watching the phils and angels. plus the angels just played bad baseball!

so that you guys have a hope?

Frosty 10-27-2009 12:11 AM

Yeah because it's going to be a cakewalk for either team. Typical know-nothing arrogant NY fan.

:waits for the Nov. 1 rebuttal.

:D:D:D:D

It should be a good World Series as these teams look pretty evenly matched up. And you have the 2 ballparks with the most homeruns hit all year!

baddest434 10-28-2009 02:04 PM

lets hope the weather cooperates tonight

#1 and #2 teams in homeruns in a park that the ball just flies out of, should be interesting series

Mike 10-28-2009 02:05 PM

yankees.com says sloppy but playable, they are predicting starting on time as well

not just homeruns, the number 1 teams in offense in their respective leagues, in the 2 highest run producing parks.

gonna be an interesting counter balance to the 2 quality pitching staffs.

all rooting interests put aside, this should be one of the best world series in a while

Frosty 10-28-2009 02:07 PM

Yeah lets hope the weather is tolerable. I really can't wait for this series. Finally, the World Series is sporting the best 2 teams in baseball, there's no debating that. I'm worried about Lee tonight, he doesn't have good numbers against the Yanks, we'll see....

NastyEllEssWon 10-28-2009 02:28 PM

phillieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!

Squirrel 10-28-2009 03:04 PM

Yikes...that was scary, but way to get out. Cant let the Phillies load em up like that.

baddest434 10-28-2009 09:14 PM

lee is on fire tonight. and 2 bombs by utley oh boy!!!

LTb1ow 10-28-2009 09:14 PM

Philly ftw

JL8Jeff 10-28-2009 09:21 PM

Good game so far but it's far from over! I thought we might have a pitching battle like the Pedro/Padilla game.

BonzoHansen 10-28-2009 09:23 PM

Lee is dealing.

edit#2: ****, Marte. Game over.

edit#3: jesus christ, behind his back? it's just his night, new game tomorrow.

Frosty 10-28-2009 10:17 PM

Don't fret Yankees fans, this is going to be a long series I think. There's no way they'll get dominated again like they did tonight. If they do, well...then good for us. :D

At least hopefully tonight the Phillies earned some respect from some idiot NY fans and the media.

BonzoHansen 10-28-2009 10:19 PM

It's all about AJ tomorrow night.

JL8Jeff 10-28-2009 10:22 PM

I hope Pedro can put together a similar performance. The Phils are very patient batters and find the right pitch to hit. CC was too wild at the beginning of the game and that shortened his time. That's what the Phils do to good pitchers.

After seeing his playoff stats for this year...I wouldn't be too hopeful lol.

Really aside from the first inning and the 2 mistakes to Chase CC was fine. He let that fastball tail over the meat of the plate twice....after that he settled down and pitched pretty decent.

BonzoHansen 10-28-2009 10:26 PM

Yeah Jeff, they didn't hit Sabathia. Utley hit Sabathia.

I know, I didn't say they hit CC, they made him throw too many pitches which forced the bullpen. They hit the bullpen well. CC pitched a good game after the 1st inning other than the 2 pitches to Utley. But wow, Lee pitched an awesome game!
