.

I being a Phillies fan realized that the Yanks were not in the playoffs last year. Big Al Being a Yankee fan didnt realize that. I just wanted to reidorate his post #14.

BigAls87Z28 11-09-2009 12:25 PM

I never said that the yankees made it to the post season last year, did I?

Compared to teh ALDS/CS, Arod did not put up the numbers and massive hits like he did in the playoffs. Sure, he made several good hits, and compared to his past post-season at bats, they have been a 180* overall. Overall, finaly stepped up to the challenge of earning the big pay checks.

Frosty 11-09-2009 12:31 PM

I'm not pissy about the Phillies. They got beat by a slightly better team. Now, it's back to tweaking the line up a bit and we might actually see a rematch again next year.

As far as the Cowboys, they played a good game but the way Al is sucking their dicks you'd think they're headed straight for the Super Bowl. Until they win a SINGLE game in the playoffs this team is no better than the Lions. EVERY year is supposed to be "their year", EVERY year they're going to break their playoff win drought. Until that happens they're still nothing. Until Romo can perform in the playoffs they're still nothing.

BTW Al, this is what? Their 5th win against the "Egirls" in 21 games? I guess that gives you a reason to be excited, wins against the Eagles don't come around too often.

The Cowboys could win out the rest of the season and guess what? They're still underdogs to whoever they play in the playoffs....they are proof that the regular season stats don't mean a damn thing when the playoffs start.

They seem like they have another solid team again this year, they have a potent offense and another strong defense...but I've said that about the team for the last 2 years and they've done nothing. So we'll see. It's going to be a tough fight for the NFC East...it looks like right now it's down the two of the teams since overrated Eli and the Giants look like the Redskins right now.

Sorry, I must have missed the memo about you making the rules for what teams someone can enjoy watching. From now on, I'll forward all my entertainment-related decisions towards you, for approval, first.

I added in numbers just to make sure I had the right years you were talking about. I didnt say it I am just repeating it. And if you were referring to Aroids Regular Season stats this year are better then Last years you are wrong again..
He batted .283 with 30 HR's 100 RBI's and 17 2B's in 2009
He batted .302 with 35 HR's 103 RBI's and 33 2B's in 2008

And to think I rooted for the Yanks against the Mets in the Subway W/S. At least Mets fans Know when there team was in the playoffs as opposed to when there team only wins the W/S.

Frosty 11-09-2009 12:46 PM

Jeff, hang on a sec...Mets fans don't deserve any credit for anything, they're the scum of the sports world

BigAls87Z28 11-09-2009 12:51 PM

Numbers dont mean **** when he couldnt pull it out at the end of the season.
I wasnt saying that they did go to the playoffs last year, I was talking about how he snapped out of it and started helping the team. Maybe I didnt spell that out.
Arod put up some numbers, but none of it helped. He would hit a single home run when it didnt matter, but when the game was on the line, he would fail.

My bad I guess it is just the majority. I am sorry most the Yankee fans I talked to at the W/S Game 2 game said they were Giants fans. Hell even the sports radio station in NY said thats the way it usually goes. My bad. Thats what I get for listening to Yankee fans at a W/S game and a NY Radio station. I guess I should stick to Philly stations and Philly fans.

I just have to ask have you worn a Cowgirls Jersey with a NYY Hat in NYC? Just wonderring. I met a Yankee Cowgirls fan once In Virginia Beach when I was stationed down there. He was from New Mexico.

Cowboys are America's Team. Expect fans from all walks of life and all over the country. Dont act surprised.

Your theory holds no weight, I'm a Florida Gators fan and have been since I was about 10.

My second team in the NFL is the Chargers....and that's because of Techmo Super Bowl on NES from WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in the day.

I was brought up a Cowboys fan. Both my mother and father are Cowboys fans. They like the Giants and all, but the Cowboys have always been the team. My brother went the other way when we were growing up, and liked the 49er's since it was pretty much a battle between the two of them for most of teh 90's.
Ill have to scan the pic, but when I was 2 years old, I have a Dallas Cowboys Tshirt on. I really started to get into it in 5th grade. Next year they went to the Superbowl with the Steelers. It sealed my fate.

Madden 93.
Dallas Cowboys...Off Tackle w/ Emmit Smith. Non-stop touchdown factory. I belive I racked up over 100 points by the end of the game.

You can have your none Playoff winning 50 billion dollar or however much it is stadium and cheer for you Dallas Cowgirls who play in Arlington. I will stay with my team that has never won a superbowl and who I can drive 7 miles to watch a game at there stadium and not be affraid of wearing my Phillies hat with my eagles jersey and my Flyers pants with Sixers coat. A team doesnt have to be called americas team for me to like them or have won 27 championships to like them. I am happy liking my teams who are always the underdog. It makes it that much more exciting when we get there and win. hell just getting there is exciting. I am from south Jersey and the Philly teams are part of south Jersey just like the NY teams are part of north Jersey.

( just so you know I have nothing against who you like and what not this is just for fun.)

See you wait until post 40 to say this. I was thinking you were the usual front runner. You know the people who were sick of the eagles in the 90's and switched to the cowboys in the 90 because they were wining.

Nah, Nasty called me a front runner in the Turnpike Series thread, to which i mentioned how I become both a Cowboy and a Yankee fan.
My father grew up in the city, and was always a Yankee fan. When he moved out to Queens, he got a lot of **** for it, but always remained a Yankees fan.
