I would trade my '87 for a 2010 SS in a heartbeat. I love my thridgens, but without a great deal of sentimental value, it just doesn't make any sense not to take a trade like that.

Yup, would do the trade in a heartbeat. Enjoy the new whip for a little while, and if you get sick of it / don't like it after you have given it a fair chance, then sell it and use the cash to build an even better 3rd gen.
