yea I know...its the second time I've been pulled over in town and both times my PBA card was taken and I was lectured how having the card and plates is a privilege...I get the card being a privilege, but I pay for the plates=not such a privilege. It's just one of those things that you can't really call a cop out on since they're just giving me a hard time because I'm young, and have a car that's nicer than the one they own.

While those cops were likely just giving you a hard time, aren't there certain offenses (like DUI and such) that will prohibit you from having personalized / specialty plates?

But you're not running a front plate so that will get you pulled over. The attitude that your car is nicer than one they own is not a good approach either. That is arrogance at it's finest and you're most likely wrong as well. Lots of cops have some really nice cars sitting in their garage.

What I meant was, when I cop is lecturing you I think it's extremely rude/not going to help if you go "excuse me sir, but I pay for those plates so they are not a privilege".

we get that point, just should have left off the last part

Can't talk yourself out of a ticket but you certiantly can talk yourself into one. I've been pulled over like 5 times no tickets tho  suprisingly. Just be polite yes sir no sir ect be honest and straight forward with them that's what I've always done. Got me out of an 83 and accelrating in a 50 ticket.
Wolfblitz (Justin) it's a good thing he wasn't around when u did that 3am burnout infront of my house  and he was probably doing you favor with that ticket I know how you drive :p

Full of yourself much?

I know some cops with really nice cars. Much nicer than yours. Or mine.

All i was saying is that it's pretty rare to see a kid my age have a car like mine and not think that the kids a spoiled brat. You can't tell me cops don't stereotype. If I had rolled through a stop sign with my ranger instead of the camaro, I wouldn't doubt I would have been treated with a little more respect. But anyway, I'm young, what do I know? just my .02.

No offense but I know people your age with nice/faster and they worked for it just like you did....stop trying to play the poor, discriminated victim. It comes with the territory of owning the types of cars we do.

Pretty much. K've been driving the vert now off and on without a valid inspection (mostly cause it friggin irks me to get a new winsheild after I just put on in there not to long ago again) to get it inspected. My car Im sure stands out, looks, sounds better and is way louder than yours. Haven't been pulled over once. Most cops look smile and keep on driving on.

:D

lol youre acting like one....whining about being pulled over....being given a hard time with a little bit of lip service and then making assumptions that he pulled you over because youre young with a nice car and he's jealous....sounds like to me youre acting just like you dont want to be typecasted.

as for being pulled over.....your car is loud...cammed....and probably shakes a few things driving around.....point being???

theres a reason most of us have daily drivers

all this...and you didnt even get a ticket :D

dude i've gotten so many tickets it aint even funny!!! but i've also talk my way out of the heavy fine tickets and ened up with a TON of tag and tail light tickets just from the way i talk to the officer. If your driving like an ******* he is required to pull you over, its kind of his job. Its for the safety of the general public. Just like everyone hates my job, there is a greater purpose behind it. don't be such a hot shot and try to drive all crazy and even without the tag cops won't really bother you much

Wolfblitz 01-04-2010 08:28 AM

Well, i almost got another one today lol. So we're up to 1 ticket and 1 warning so far.

B4C 01-04-2010 09:24 AM

:mrgreen:Oh snap:mrgreen: What did ya do this time?

Wolfblitz 01-04-2010 09:53 AM

Exhaust lol

chemicalstylez 01-05-2010 04:20 PM

I got pulled over and let go... for no front plate. There must be some new revenue thing going on. My buddy is a cop and he says only the hardliners and the nooblewts trying to prove themselves will bust your nuts over something so small. Nothings worse than some Class II loser trying to lecture you on a plate. Jeez I better watch my mouth, i'll be a Class II loser soon :o.
