yeah i've used those before but they won't work in this application. thanks for the suggestion though!

Here's a pic of the difference in the dies 45deg on the left 37 deg on the right. The stem used for double flaring is interchangable. But whether doing a single or double flare you need the correct die and cone.

thanks a ton chris and fml! i thought the 37 was shallower but it also seems that the taper in the die is different. dang nabbit! hopefully i can switch the order around before it ships....
