WiMiMc 08-16-2010 10:45 AM

i was looking at that but i guess i'm trying to find out is how its set up. by that i mean, with a team of 6-10 people each person does about a mile and a half-2 miles?

No we all do it together - comraderie.

WiMiMc 08-17-2010 05:26 PM

this sounds awesome, though one last question,

can i do it barefoot?

Anti_Rice_Guy 08-17-2010 05:51 PM

Idk, email them.

The website where it suggests what to wear just says this relating to footwear

Quote:

On your feet just your normal running shoes. Spikes or cleats won’t help – they will just harm the other participants.

WiMiMc 08-17-2010 07:08 PM

=O i'm going to go for least clothing award

WiMiMc 08-17-2010 07:19 PM

now what are some of your guys' mile times or 5k times? just so i know how to gauge my training

Anti_Rice_Guy 08-17-2010 08:25 PM

I've been training for distance not a single mile...for this a single mile time is irrelevant. As for 5k, I have no idea. I'm just circuit training/running.

Make sure you sign up now before spots are taken, and make sure you follow the directions to sign up for the team so you get the discount.

WiMiMc 08-17-2010 09:10 PM

how many miles do you put in a week? how much are your easy days and long runs?

I'm not that specific. I try to run about 5 miles a day usually 4-6 days a week. If i'm really tired or something, I'll try to get in at least half that

Anti_Rice_Guy 09-10-2010 05:05 PM

Bump!

LS1ow 09-10-2010 08:33 PM

Hi Mudders--

Just a reminder that there are only a few hundred spots left for Saturday, so make sure your teammates who haven't signed up yet register ASAP! At Bear Creek we had to turn a lot of people away, and we don't want to have to do that. For legal/insurance reasons we really cannot let anyone in once we're at capacity, so be sure to remind your friends to sign up right away.

Thanks!
The Tough Mudder Team

Came in an email today

1. Joining a team--If you have any friends who have been meaning to sign up for your team but haven't done so yet, it's CRUCIAL that they do this by this before Thursday, October 28th. After that, registration will still be open, but we can't promise team members who join up after that will be in your start wave. We can't stress enough how important this is, so please please remind your friends to sign up before Thursday October 28th. Wednesday, October 27th, aka tomorrow, is the last day for this.

Anti_Rice_Guy 11-10-2010 11:15 AM

Fools this event is in 10 days. For anyone who wants to come spectate it's $15 but you have to buy it online ahead of time. This gets you in to watch the event plus free bbq and concert. Beer will be available as well. Who wants to come take pictures for us?

Tru2Chevy 11-10-2010 03:50 PM

I am gonna try to free up the day, not sure yet if I can go.

Once the photographer finishes taking them off his camera/sending them over I'll be hosting them on photobucket and having a whole thread.

And yes we finished and caught up to some of the people that started 20 min ahead of us. It was freakin awesome and I already created a team and signed up for the one in Bear Mountain, PA in April 2011.
