They played a sloppy game tonight, too many penalties, but Leighton was solid...

baddest434 05-19-2010 01:31 PM

maybe this is the flyers year. they are on a roll.

Don't jinx em. The really didn't look that good last night but the win is all that matters right now.

band77one 05-22-2010 04:57 PM

another shutout for leighton, he's having a killer year when he's healthy, hopefully they can keep up the play for the finals !

theyre not there yet. montreal has made a habit of coming back when down. i would love nothing more than to see a philly team do well....even if im not a fan of the sport

Frosty 05-22-2010 05:38 PM

I honestly don't think the Habs will come back this series and I'm not saying that because I'm a Flyers fan. I don't think the Flyers will crumble like other teams did, not with that coach, not with the players in the locker room.

I'm done making predictions, the Flyers surprised me. I thought this series was going to be the perfect opportunity for let down after such an emotional series against Boston. Maybe I was wrong about this team.

NastyEllEssWon 05-24-2010 08:40 PM

so philly pulled it off.....chicago looks tough....heres hoping to something to drink about this summer

Slow-V6 05-24-2010 10:01 PM

unbelievable! Chicago doesnt scare me as much as Montreal did. We just beat the team that knocked off the #1 and #3 seeds in the East.

my82roc 05-24-2010 10:14 PM

Like the Tugger(god rest his soul)used to say."Ya gotta believe".This team is for real, theres no denying that.It should be a good series.

Frosty 05-24-2010 10:41 PM

The 'Hawks are no joke. This will be a great series.

baddest434 05-25-2010 05:34 AM

yeah for philly! and jeff thought i was going to jinx them

JL8Jeff 05-25-2010 07:16 AM

I still can't believe this team has made it this far. With the injuries in the playoffs they still managed to play a solid game. Now they get some rest which hopefully helps them heal up some more. It should be a good series.

Frosty 06-05-2010 12:44 AM

This team just won't quit. I'm getting tired of hearing how Chicago is superior to this team and how they were going to steamroll Philly in 4 or 5 games. Hopefully now the idiot 'Hawks fans and media will have a nice warm cup of STFU

NastyEllEssWon 06-05-2010 12:58 AM

its a real tight series. if philly can take care of business sunday we might have another parade...woo woo for philly.

Im getting ick of the play by play announcer on Versus ( cant think of his name) He's always anti Flyers, always has to talk about how strong the other team is. Im excited to see the outcome so far, but it suck s I can't watch the games.......If I do, they may lose. the last two games I didn't watch, so intermission and post game is the only time I'm allowed to watch. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to take if it means we get a parade!!!

JL8Jeff 06-05-2010 08:08 AM

These teams are pretty evenly matched up. The Flyers outplayed Chicago in game 2 and lost, Chicago outplayed them last night and lost. Flyers just need to keep shooting the puck and looking for the rebounds.

Blacdout96 06-05-2010 09:58 AM

they are starting to find the weak spots of Niemi, and disrupting their plays more efficiently.

Frosty 06-05-2010 11:50 AM

So where is Dustin Byfuglien at? The way the media made it sound this guy was the Jesus reborn and was going to plow through the Flyers...the guy is a fraud. Just another example how the media will take anyone over the "thugs" of Philly.

I'm on a bunch of different sites and I'm getting a kick out of all of the arrogant, know-nothing 'hawks fans that have gone from "well we're going to sweep, we're going to win in 5 now" to waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Pronger is mean, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Pronger is getting away with stuff, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah the games are fixed for the Flyers.

It's funny. I originally picked the 'hawks in 6 but I think I might be eating those words(happily I might add, pass the hot sauce  )

Blacdout96 06-05-2010 12:59 PM

Well ByFu is a goon, trying to start crap, reminds me of Domi. Pronger is an excellent asset to the team, and he's been around to knwo what to do, and what not to do. He is holding his ground without tryign to make them slip up and have him caught up in the process. if they dont like the contact sport, watch Soccor where they roll on the ground crying and then get right up after the penalty is called :)

Carcillo was nice to have him in there just to give them a reminder that we'll rough em up if we have to, but at this stage of the game, we need to focus on continuing to disrupt ther western style of play which is alot of passing. we go head first into them, and we need to start switching it up. I see the Flyers trying to grasp the passing game, and they slip up a few times trying. I do love thier enthusiasm, especially with the amount of energy they have in the third, which is telling me Chicago is busting their ass to keep up in the game, being wipped out by the third, allowing a small cushion of opportunity for the flyers.

For the sheer fact that I want Philly to win nothing, ever again, Go Hawks.

BigAls87Z28 06-05-2010 06:29 PM

Actually there was a big GM outreach program at a Chevy dealer in NE philly today. I was asked to go, but had to work.
