Is it a chain or a local place? Either way I'd write a letter to, or meet with, the owner and inform him/her of what happened. Should get some free food out of the deal.

NastyEllEssWon 06-09-2010 06:43 PM

local joint...not that it matters but i dont think i want any ''free'' food theyd serve me now

edpontiac91 06-09-2010 07:07 PM

I always keep some in my wallet. Any bank you go to always has some in their drawers. It's kind of funny to go to Shop-Rite and use a couple of them on a young cashier and have them tell you that they are not real. The only ones that are going to be worth extra to a collector are the RED seal bills. That design has his home (Monticello) on the back and the newer bills have a GREEN seal and on the back is the signing of the Decleration of Independence. Some of the Red seal bill back to 1927. Kind of neat to have something in your hands that has survived over 80 years.

Stevoone 06-09-2010 07:30 PM

The BG guy that used to come by my shop used to exchange tokens for $2 bills. I think I have them around still.

There are plenty of pizza places around, I'm sure a different delivery person would appreciate it.

jts98z28 06-09-2010 08:44 PM

i escort pizza and i would be pissed if i didnt get a tip, i expect 3 minimum from every house people dont realize how much gas is and how cheap everyone is which sucks cause i get like 5 houses a day with no tip, but anyway i like getting the 2 dollar bills and dollar coins theyre kinda cool

lol thats the type of attitude that doesnt get you the tip. Expecting a tip = you get no tip. Performing the service, within my expectations or beyond gets you a tip. If i hand you money and you dont reach for your pocket to give me change and try walking away....guess what...im calling you back to the door to give me my change

but thats neither here nor there.

2 "dollar" bills don't exist in Monopoly.

True, wait a week. Unless they send the bimbo out again to deliver, they aren't going to keep your address in a black book, they'll deliver.

What nasty said, no one is entitled to a tip. Tip is me being nice, all I have to do is simply pay the bill from the establishment. That of course doesn't exclude times when tips are included in the bill, but that's not what we are talking about here. I've given a tip as small as 1 cent .

my82roc 06-10-2010 08:46 AM

I have three 2 dollar bills folded up in my wallet that ive been carrying around for years.

little tid bit here, the word "tips" came from english coffee houses. a tip was given at the beginning of the order "to insure promptness" or "prompt service," i forget which. now back to your regularly scheduled madness.

I tip based on the amount traveled and the order. Most place around here already charge a $1.50 delivery fee which the driver gets. If it's a small pizza from around the corner they're getting $2. That would be, in total, $3.50 for a mile trip(literally one mile).

If it's a large order and from a place that's further out they get a bigger tip...and if it's the same delivery and he takes care of us then we take care of him.
