2007 Bought and built the vert
2008 Blew motor up
2009 oil filter sucked in on its self. Rebuilt/upgraded motor
2010 spun out on the way home from the track taking out the right rear quarter - Total car repaint along with upgrades.

I know your luck.

I hope you took pictures and sent them off to the company your ordered the trans from already....

So you ordered this trans from some company, and it was repaired by another shop? What's the story with that? (I'm not worried about names if you don't wanna post them, just curious how the two parties work together).

I ordered the trans from Whiplash (Devin) and Performabuilt Transmissions is the builder...

Tru2Chevy 08-28-2010 10:09 PM

So Performabuilt did the repair, and you got the trans back directly from them with damaged splines on the output shaft?

Correct.

I sent them pictures and was assured that it was OK to install...

Well trans is now installed and the stall of the converter is wrong... ordered and paid for a 4100... cant hold the car past 2000.

If you get totally screwed (and the car is in Flemington) let me know. I work around the corner from you and I'll bet we can store the car in the lower lot where I work for a few days. Shoot me a call or a text if you need it.

NJ Torque 08-29-2010 04:14 PM

Bill,

Thanks for the offer. The car moves under its own power now. But the converter is all wrong. I'll be on the phone first thing monday morn.
