When I pulled mine off the gasket was wasted...

MyFirstZ 04-19-2011 08:27 PM

boo. I will see if i can just get the gasket. Everytime i send an order it cost me 20-27$ in shipping. and since i couldnt order everything at once it puts me at 100-115$ in shipping.

3 from texasspeed and 1 from ws6store. Il stop by GM

When I helped kirk do his, it was fine. Just make sure you tighten them down correctly. I think its 27 foot pounds.

yep svo 30s flow 36 @ 58psi

MyFirstZ 04-20-2011 07:48 PM

alright, you scared me for a minute got worried i ordered the wrong ones

KirkEvil 04-20-2011 07:53 PM

I didnt need a new cam plate and gasket, but I had issues with oil pressure after install...I pulled the cover and found that the cam plate bolts were slightly backed out. Just take care to torque the bolts properly and use loctite.

Its probably a good idea to get a new one, just may not be necessary.

MyFirstZ 04-20-2011 09:24 PM

if i can pick one up at gm before i do the install in a few weeks i will. Or if i can order one with out paying 25-30 shipping

but since i am on a very tight time restraint i should probably just get one

Those are the replacement for SVO red tops, Ford replaced the red tops and green tops with red and green skinny injectors. I know you said your having it tuned by SSP but for those doing their own work the flow is similar to the older injectors but from what I understand they tune slightly different. I had a buddy swap out green top svo's for a new set of green skinny svo's without changing the tune and it went very lean (mid 10 second car lost 1/2 second). We havent retuned it yet so I dont know where they are different, he just swapped back to the old green tops and all went back to normal.

MyFirstZ 04-21-2011 02:00 PM

Damn that is crazy. But yeah it will be tuned with these in it

JerzLT1 04-22-2011 12:37 PM

gat a racetronix pump, its an exact fit from the stocker and doesnt matter if you run it below a 1/4 tank
