This post needs to be bronzed and stuck in the NJFBOA archives. This is definitely a first.

On these kind of days, I love working at an ice cream place...

18 holes of golf, carrying the bag, no beer cart but I managed to grab 1 beer for the front 9 and 2 beers for the back 9 and shot an 84 after taking a stupid double bogey on the first hole! It was hot, but there was a nice steady breeze the whole round. The house AC is set at 82 and feels nice and refreshing!

You have got to be just a little crazy to play golf in this weather. I would have gone through 6 pair of underwear, 2 tubes of jock itch cream and passed out walking just to get to the 2nd hole! :willy:

The heat sucks either way but if you get out early and stay out its not as bad as if you just walked outside mid-day. Working tomorrow outside should be a good one

They are calling for a HEAT INDEX of 115*on Friday and more on Saturday. Don't recall it has ever been this high!

I agree. It also makes it that much better when you come home to a cool house.

Most annoying part is walking out in the morning and the sunglasses insta-fog.

HardcoreZ28 07-22-2011 08:33 AM

Was hot as hell in my shop yesterday and of course I was burning in floor pans. I couldn't put water back in faster than it was pouring out of me. Doing the unthinkable and actually taking a day off today.

greenformula92 07-22-2011 09:14 AM

Full time job - A/C quit on me in the work truck, but took off today to re-new my CDL

Part time job - Oil Change shop for the weekend, Saturday will be brutal, but i could loose about 100 pounds so while it's hot, this somehow may work to my advantage

Frosty 07-22-2011 09:22 AM

100#'s?

sweetbmxrider 07-22-2011 09:59 AM

I think you have some faulty equipment. We're at 102 around Trenton but Newark is the hottest right now at 104.

coolmanvette75 07-22-2011 12:43 PM

Nope brand new thermometer (not in the sun). Hit a high of 110.7 so far. Neighbors have confirmed temps within 2-3 degrees.

JL8Jeff 07-22-2011 01:33 PM

Everything I'm looking at is showing Old Bridge at 101 so you can't trust your home thermometer. On Tuesday our thermometer was showing 121 with the sun hitting it as I was going out to play volleyball. Within an hour and half storms moved through and it was down to 80!

BonzoHansen 07-22-2011 02:00 PM

it must be near blacktop, that raises temp a bunch

maroman88 07-22-2011 02:34 PM

my at home thermometer says 106 in dense shade... corvette said 108
