Not a big deal but that is most likely what will happen if you dont get a lawyer, the other tickets were to get you to plead guilty on the reckless and speeding and they will probably drop the rest.

Lawyer will be able to get the speeding and reckless reduced and the other 3 dropped. Will save you money in the long run.

Since when is a reckless facing jail time. I got a reckless knocked down to a careless when I was 17 simply by showing up in court with my mother (I was underage), dressed nice, and super respectful and regretful.

Now im not saying thats gonna work with how bad they threw the book at you. That being said its time to lawyer up.

Someone more familiar with the court system can tell you better but you may be able to show for court, speak with the prosecutor and see their position and what theyre willing to do and if you dont like it you may be able to request an extension wanting to hire a lawyer.

Needless to say this is what I received.

39:3-74 Obstruction of vision (radar detector)
39:3-33 improper display of plates (i have a bracket around the back plate)
39:4-96 Reckless Driving
39:4-98 Speeding in excess of 30-34 mph (114mph in a 65)
39:4-88A Traffic on marked lanes-nearest right lane (driving in the left lane when no one was in the right lane)

Before you leave me messages like "stop breaking the law jackass" etc... I know I was wrong and I'm probably going to be selling my car because of this. It's too tempting to speed. What would you do in this situation? Thanks in advance.

we need a "cricket" one, for when someone sets things straight on a thread and then everyone has nothing to say, ie: "hearing nothin but crickets"

or is this sarcasm im having trouble reading lol

not sarcasm at all, deciding to run or not is a big decision that is all situational, gotta factor in distance, speed, car, time of day, how many cops are on duty ATM, how well you know the area youre in, if theres a chance a camera could have hit you, the pursuit law in that city, etc.

sweetbmxrider 12-11-2011 07:52 PM

seems legit.

Demonicbird00 12-11-2011 08:25 PM

i assume you are kidding, our being super troll. Not sure.

Running is the single most selfish and dangerous thing that one can do. It's flat out stupid. The risk/reward is awful. This isn't 1950 or hazard county

OP, lawyer up.

That was dumb to do on rt 55. Get a lawyer, and reschedual your court date in hopes that the officer cannot make the reschdual date.

Well, i respectfully disagree :)

Camvill 12-12-2011 02:47 AM

I just noticed on the ticket that it says i was speeding in excess of 30-34mph... But in reality he wrote down i was doing 114 in a 65 which is 49mph over the limit....Don't tickets get thrown out if the information is incorrect?

sweetbmxrider 12-12-2011 07:18 AM

No, that's him giving you a ****ing break.

NJ Torque 12-12-2011 07:22 AM

It doesnt matter if the officer can show up or not, thats irrelevant to the case.

I've got a traffic lawyer, much less then $1000. . .Maybe cuase I've never had a situation as severe as this?

BonzoHansen 12-12-2011 08:56 AM

I'm not calling this office the patron saint of breaks. 39:4-88A Traffic on marked lanes-nearest right lane - really? They won't give that ticket to the idiots doing 60 in the *left lane who it is designed for.

*I meant left

I pulled my other post. He was not cutting a break in this case. You got the top tier speeding ticket and he included your real speed in there since you were faster than 34 over in a 65.

Wrong! The right lane(s) are designed for EVERYBODY, the law says KEEP RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS. There are no exceptions for this and IMO this ticket should be handed out like candy. Then maybe the ashats that decide to get in the middle lane and left lanes would realize They are not supposed to ride over there
